Welcome to our Amelia Island 2016 Fringes Edition! Every year in March there is an amazing gathering of Automobiles on Amelia Island in Florida. Auctions, Cars and Coffee and a Concours with all of the associated fanfare cover the period of a few days where or quite little town becomes host to a large number of visitors from all over the world. Not being recognized as a relevant media outlet my access has been limited the last couple years, but rather than devote the entire weekend to gardening at home I still get out for a short while to get some shots on the fringes of the events. This edition represents my first printed “Fringe” coverage of any kind, and without media access is much less detailed then my normal Art Of Steel Magazines. Despite any limits we still think is it quite a nice collection of some awesome automobiles however and hope you enjoy them as well. If you are not familiar with my work, I am an Independent Fine Art Photographer and hand process each of these images from multiple exposures. I put in an average of 200 hours a year just processing and adding fresh posts and on-line material for up to 10 months after a given event I that have been provided media access to and put out this magazine for free using my own free time and money. I love cars and photography even more, and in my mind there is only one way to properly display these magnificent machines, with quality and elegance. I am always working on and posting more images on-line throughout the year and if you are interested in following the works please subscribe to our newsletter on-line at: www.AdamsViews.net/info/subscribe I do sell prints of these images on-line and also welcome any comments or feedback, stop by to visit or drop us a line anytime via our Website at: www.AdamsViews.net 3

1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster Comfort beauty, performance, class – the Jaguar XK120 was a legend in its own time. The Original XK120 was a true roadster, with a fully detachable top stored in the trunk. With Sterling Moss at the wheel and XK120 won the Tourist Trophy at Dundrod and the Silverstone in 1950. The twin-overhead-cam, 6-cylinder has a displacement of 3.4 Liters, producing 160 hp, with a 4 speed transmission and a top speed of 120 mph. The Birth of the Jaguar Sports Car The significance of the Walmsley Roadster is not to be underestimated; it was the first sports car built by the company and it style set the standard for gracefully powerful sports cars for years to come. It also ushered in the beginning of the aluminum sports car production for SS Cars LTD, later renamed Jaguar Cars and established the company as an industry leader in the use of the material. This beautiful car was likely among Walmsley’s last designs under the SS roof. In 1935 Walmsley retired as Chairman and managing director leaving William Lyons in charge and essentially vanished for a number of years until Walmsley sold it to a US Army Office who brought it to America in 1956
