ditorâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s note: All letters received from area children were forwarded to the North Pole in plenty of time for Santa and the elves to fill orders and have everything ready for the long journey on Christmas Eve. A huge portion of the letters received are being reprinted in todayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Letters to Santa edition. In cases where the letter was handwritten by a child, the letter has not been edited for grammar, spelling or punctuation, but is submitted just as it was received. Any information in letters that was deemed sensitive or personal is not being printed, however, all wishes and special requests written by local children were forwarded to the North Pole. The ProgressIndex wishes to take this time to thank each child, parent, guardian and/or school teacher who took the time to answer our call-out for letters to Santa, and we wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Dear Santa, My name is Joseph and I hope you get my letter, it’s my first one because I am only in 1st grade and learning to print and spell words. This is what I want for Christmas so I can play with my soon to be born little brother and my 2 little cousins and my friends. I want Legos and Lego Games and Imaginarium Mountain Rock Train table with lights and sound, Home Depot Pro Play workshop and utility bench, Pie in the face game, Hot wheels Ultimate Auto Garage. When I grow up I want to be a State Trooper to save and protect people. Thank you for coming to my home and bringing me presents when I was younger. My name is Joseph V Lopez and I am 6 years old. I also want to know if I have been naughty or nice. And in my stocking I want a couple of easy bake oven mixes. Another thing I have wanted since Kindergarden is to ride in your sleigh. Dear Santa, The winter season is near and I’m extremely thrilled! This also means that Christmas has almost arrived.
