ABOUT FENELON FALLS

This historic village nestled on the shores of Cameron Lake is a visitor’s delight.

It is also one of Canada’s Trail Town Communities, part of a program that features the historic Trent-Severn Waterway as the trail giving visitors opportunities to explore the outdoor activities, pristine lakes and rivers, great shopping and dining hand in hand with arts, culture and heritage.

The village is a great destination for families, day-trippers and seasonal visitors. The Waterfront offers the beach park, splashpad, playground, beach volleyball, butterfly benches, Victoria County Rail Trail, Bur Oak Grove, Allen Wood Play Space, and One Room School.

Only a step from downtown Fenelon Falls, Lock 34 is located on an island. Boaters should take extra care while approaching the lock and watch for valve discharge or intake.

One of the most popular attractions is the miniature “Niagara Falls” flowing through the limestone gorge. This 7-metre wonder of nature can be viewed from the east side of Colborne Street Bridge.

Boaters must arrive to the designated blue line at least 30 minutes before closing time. At swing bridges, the last bridge swing will be 10 minutes after last lockage time.

NOTE: Lockstations are unstaffed after hours. Authorized visitors are asked to exercise caution. Unpermitted access to lockstations is prohibited between 10pm and 6am. For emergencies after hours, please call 911 for police, fire, ambulance. Please check with Parks Canada at 1-888-773-8888 to confirm dates and times.
