EGYPTIAN EVENT SHOW RULES & PROCEDURES USEF RULES, LOCAL CLASSES AND AHA RECOGNITION: This Horse Show is conducted in accordance with the Rules of the USEF, particularly the Arabian Horse Division. The official rulebook of USEF will prevail for this show. Each participant in this show is responsible for knowledge of these rules and is subject to these rules. Any changes or corrections of the rules will automatically become part of this prize list. Questions that may arise that are not covered by the USEF rulebook will be decided by the Show Committee and their decisions will be final. The classes for this competition are restricted to members of The Pyramid Society and therefore all classes at this competition will be considered Local according to USEF GR 134 Local Classes. No classes will be eligible for USEF Horse of the Year Awards. (USEF GR 134) This show is not recognized by the Arabian Horse Association. EGYPTIAN EVENT RULES OF CONDUCT: Organizing committee members, show officials, judges, exhibitors and handlers will unconditionally submit themselves and their accompanying persons to the “Egyptian Event Show Rules and Procedures” and will accept the jurisdiction of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), the Egyptian Event Show Committee (Show Committee) and the USEF Steward. The Show Committee, USEF and the USEF Show Steward shall not be liable for any consequence of any decision they may make. These Rules will be interpreted where necessary under the provisions by such committees. Show organizers are not permitted to introduce rules which are in conflict with the “Egyptian Event Show Rules of Conduct and Procedures”. ADMINISTRATION OF CHEMICAL IRRITANTS/GINGER: No horse may compete in a class in the Arabian Division with any chemical or other irritant of any kind present on its anus, vulva, rectal area or vaginal area, regardless of the origin of the irritant and whether it was applied or its presence resulted from dietary, environmental or 9

unknown origins, and whether the horseâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s tail carriage was affected by its presence, per USEF AR103.5. Testing at the Egyptian Event for the presence of ginger and/or other irritants will be conducted at the direction of the USEF Veterinarian. ADMISSION TO THE RING: At the discretion of Show Management, order of entry into the ring may be predetermined for any class. In all Halter classes except Get of Sire and Produce of Dam, a posted order will be produced, listing the entries by birth date, from oldest to youngest. In all Halter classes except Get of Sire and Produce of Dam entries will enter the ring in age order from oldest to youngest and be judged in the order they enter the ring. In Get of Sire and Produce of Dam entries will enter by Back Number from lowest to highest. APPOINTMENTS AND WHIPS: In all halter classes a suitable headstall equipped with throatlatch is mandatory. One whip per handler. No item may be used inside or outside the ring while showing a horse except one whip. Whips are to be no longer than six feet (6â&#x20AC;&#x2122;) including snapper/ lash/appendage. Small appendages (no more than 12 inches in length) of ribbon, plastic, etc., are permitted. Please see USEF AR 114 Breeding-In-Hand appointments. These rules will be enforced. BARN CALLS AND CLASS CALLS: Barn calls are a courtesy only. Every effort will be made to advise the exhibitor of any changes in the Tentative Schedule. Due to unforeseeable problems with any mechanical device, the public address system and paddock calls over that system must be considered a courtesy. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to be sure that their horse is at the gate at the prescribed time. CLASS SPLITTING OR COMBINING: Show management reserves this right as deemed necessary in order to ensure the comfort and safety of the exhibitors. Proper notice will be posted in the Show Office and barn announcements will be made. CODE OF CONDUCT ON THE SHOW GROUNDS AND ABUSE: Horses shall not be punished unnecessarily or severely anywhere on the show grounds. Actions including the excessive use of whips, excessive stimulation by noise or intimidation, excessive jerking or excessive circling of the horse, or intentional infliction of pain by any means (exception for emergency control of the horse) are forbidden in all parts of the show ground, or stable areas at all times. The Show Committee, Steward(s) and Veterinarian(s) all have the authority to take immediate action against any person in violation of this Code of Conduct. All rules as contained in the USEF Rulebook General Section apply as follows:

SUBCHAPTER 8-F WELFARE OF THE HORSE GR839 CRUELTY TO AND ABUSE OF A HORSE Cruelty to or the abuse of a horse by any person at a Licensed Competition is forbidden, constitutes a violation under Chapter 7, and renders the offender subject to penalty. The Show Committee must bar violators from further participation for the remainder of the competition. It is the duty of the competition officials and any properly constituted humane organization to report to the Federation any person who indulges in this practice for such further action as may be deemed appropriate. The Federation or the Judge or Steward may appoint a veterinarian to inspect any animal in competition. Refusal to submit an animal for examination by an authorized veterinarian after due notification shall constitute a violation. Any action(s) against a horse by a competitor or an exhibitor, which are deemed excessive by a judge, Federation steward, technical delegate or competition veterinarian, in the competition ring or anywhere on the competition grounds may be punished by official warning, elimination, or other sanctions which may be deemed appropriate by the Show Committee. Such action(s) could include but are not limited to excessive use of the whip, spurs, or bamboo poles. Competitors and exhibitors have the right to contest any action taken pursuant to GR839.5 by filing a protest or grievance pursuant to Chapter 6 of the Rules for hearing and determination by the Hearing Committee. DISGUISING OF EXHIBITS: No alteration of the basic color of the skin, coat or hooves is permitted. Colorless hoof varnishes, Vaseline or oil may be accepted. In halter classes horses may be fully or partly body clipped subject to eyelashes being intact, an unroached mane, and a full natural tail. Tactile hair left intact around the nose, muzzle and eyes is encouraged â&#x20AC;&#x201C; judges are NOT to penalize horses shown naturally with such hair left intact. DISPUTE NOT COVERED BY RULES: Should any question or dispute arise not provided for in the governing rules, the same shall be referred to the Show Committee, whose decision will be final. DRUGS AND MEDICATIONS: The drugs and medication rules contained in USEF Rule Book Chapter 4 will be enforced. Please note this show is part of a Therapeutic Substance Group. Horses in competition will be subject to examination by a licensed veterinarian appointed by USEF. Said appointed licensed veterinarian, with approval of the USEF, may appoint a technician to perform certain duties under USEF Rules. The examination may include physical, saliva, urine, blood tests or any other test or procedure at the discretion of said licensed veterinarian necessary to effectuate the purposes of this rule. These representatives must be treated with respect. All horses will be charged $23.00 per horse: $15 Drugs and Medications to provide for research, inspection, 11

and enforcement of rules regarding use of medications and drugs; $8 USEF. Any exhibit may be tested at the request of a judge or steward. CAUTION: Refusal to submit a horse for examination, whether in competition or not, and to cooperate with the veterinarian and technicians until the samples have been taken, constitutes a violation and subjects the responsible person to the penalties under the rules. (Refer to USEF Chapter 4: Drugs and Medications.) EXHIBITOR CONDUCT, DISCIPLINE AND DISQUALIFICATION: Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to staff or officials on the part of the owner, groom, rider, driver or member of the family of the person participating in the show, will disqualify the horse/rider from adjudication. The Management/Show Committee reserves to itself the right to remove any of the above named from the show without being liable for compensation or damages. See USEF GR12 Protests, Charges and Violations: It is within the jurisdiction of a Licensed Competition to disqualify a person and/or his entries and to cause him to forfeit his winnings and ribbons at that competition and for cause to have the horses removed from the grounds without being held for damage. All such disqualifications must be reported to the Federation. EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES: The Pyramid Society reserves the right, in its sole discretion and judgment, to cancel or alter the Event described in this agreement in the event of any occurrence beyond its control which, in its opinion, threatens the health, safety or wellbeing, of the horses or participants. In the event of such cancellation or alteration, the recourse against The Pyramid Society shall be limited solely to a refund of any exhibitor’s fees previously paid to The Pyramid Society. HOLDING PADDOCK CONDUCT: The holding paddock area is only for those horses exhibiting/entering the class being called. NO horse in other classes will be allowed in the holding paddock. Each handler will be allowed ONE attendee in the holding paddock to help animate the horse in a CONTROLLED manner. According AR 114 a small appendage at the end of the whip is allowed as follows: “Whips are to be no longer than 6’ including snapper/ lash/appendage. Small appendages (no more than 12 inches in length) of ribbon, plastic, etc. are permitted.” The Show Steward, the Show Manager and the Show Committee has the right to deem any accessory as unsuitable, it if affects the safety or stress of those involved. Please use extreme caution with horses and other exhibitors. ALL ACTIVITY TO ANIMATE THE HORSE MUST TAKE PLACE IN THE DESIGNATED HOLDING PADDOCK! NO ACTIVITY SUCH AS RUNNING THE HORSE ON ANY ROADWAY WILL BE ALLOWED. Only the horse entering and the horse on deck will be allowed the use of the attendee and accessory for animation. ALL OTHER HORSES ARE TO REMAIN QUIET AND AT A SAFE DISTANCE FROM THE ENTRY GATE. The purpose of the foregoing rules is to encourage the expression of natural Arabian charisma in a controlled and safe environment. The use and scope of assistants in animating horses is at the SOLE discretion of the Show Manager and the Show Committee. 12

HORSE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE: Horses competing in the 2019 Egyptian Event MUST meet the definition as set forth by THE PYRAMID SOCIETY for either STRAIGHT EGYPTIAN or EGYPTIAN-SIRED/BRED. It is the exhibitorsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; responsibility to ensure all horses exhibiting are also USEF eligible to compete (Arabian division). STRAIGHT EGYPTIAN CERTIFICATION All Straight Egyptian horses participating in the 2019 Egyptian Event MUST be certified as Straight Egyptian by The Pyramid Society. Owners are responsible for purchasing official certification through The Pyramid Society prior to or with show entry. Certification purchased during the show will incur an additional late fee of $10.00 per certificate. NOTE: Although The Pyramid Society will make every effort to provide Certification for post-entered horses during the show, this cannot be guaranteed. INDEMNITY AND NON-RESPONSIBILITY: All entries are accepted with the understanding that The Pyramid Society will not be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any horse exhibited or any article of any kind. All horses shall be under the control and direction of the Show Committee but solely at the risk of the exhibitor, who will be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any person, animals or property occasioned by him, his agents or employees, or by any animal owned or exhibited by him, and shall indemnify The Pyramid Society (including its Officers, Directors, Trustees and any Sponsors), The Kentucky Horse Park, the City of Lexington and Fayette County against any and all loss, damages and liability thus occasioned, including, but not limited to, any and all legal costs, including attorney fees, which may be incurred as a result thereof. Exhibitors, grooms, handlers, owners, etc. are hereby warned that they may not use any device or conduct which may cause harm to any other person(s) horses, or equipment. THE SUBMISSION OF A SIGNED ENTRY FORM TO THE SECRETARY SHALL CONSTITUTE AN ACCEPTANCE BY EACH PERSON OF THE PROVISIONS HEREIN SET FORTH. JUDGES AND SUBSTITUTIONS: The Show Committee reserves the right to substitute any Competition Official, including Judges, for the one who is officially designated in the Premium List, according to current USEF Rules. No contact shall be made with the Judges during the period of the show unless accompanied by a member of the Show Committee designated by the Committee for such purpose. Further, no exhibitor shall approach a Judge regarding a decision unless he first obtains permission from the Steward, who shall arrange an appointment with the Judge at a proper time and place. MULTIPLE HORSES PER HANDLER: Handlers are allowed to exhibit multiple horses per class in all Futurity, Straight Egyptian Open and Egyptian-Sired Open classes. Excluded are the EBC, Miscellaneous classes, and All ATH and JTH classes, where a horse must be handled and shown in the entire class by one and the same person. 13

PARKING AND COVERED ARENA SEATING: *Respect all designated parking places and park accordingly. The KHP Mounted Police will have vehicles towed that are parked in authorized areas. *Respect all signage related to seating, including sponsors, patrons, and open. PENALTIES AND ELIMINATION: HORSES ARE TO BE PRESENTED WITHOUT MAKEUP, DYE, HEAVY OILS, GREASES OR ARTIFICIAL APPLIANCES WHICH DISTRACT FROM THEIR NATURAL BEAUTY AND THEY MUST BE SHOWN WITH NATURAL EYELASHES AND NO BALDING! MANDATORY ELIMINATION AND PENALITIES WILL BE FOLLOWED. ALL PENALITIES WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE TYPE SCORE AND WILL BE ANNOUNCED. See AR115 Penalties/Eliminations 1. There can be no contact of the whip to the horse, any contact shall result in elimination from judging consideration by the Judge. Intimidation: A horse that appears to be intimidated by its handler will be penalized. This may include but is not limited to, crouching, cowering, quivering, withdrawing and buckling their knees. Judge(s) may excuse any entry deemed in violation of any of these restrictions. 2. A Breeding/In-Hand competitor must be eliminated for: (also see AR105 Soundness and Welfare.) a. Removal of eyelashes, b. Changing the natural color of the mane and/or tail (AR106) c. Applying a product to a horse’s hoof to hide or conceal a conformation defect. Only clear or transparent products may be used on the hooves of horses while being shown in Breeding and/or In-Hand classes. 3. An entry must be penalized for: a. Excessive amounts of oil, grease or other similar substances. b. Balding the area around the eyes or proximal to the muzzle and nostrils. c. Excessive use of the whip or actions that may disturb other entries. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES: Services or consultations performed by the Show Veterinarian or Show Farrier outside the show ring shall be on a private fee basis. RUNNER FOR ENTRANCE AT THE TROT: A runner may be used in Halter classes for the Entrance at the Trot, except in collectively judged classes. A runner must be an Exhibitor. An Exhibitor is any person who holds, walks or trots a horse in the competition arena. Every Exhibitor is required to sign an entry blank and must be a Federation member or pay a Show Pass Fee.

SECURITY: The Kentucky Horse Park Mounted Police are on duty around-the-clock. They can be contacted at 859-509-1450. We remind exhibitors and their staff to secure all valuables. Although we pride ourselves on the family atmosphere at the Event, thefts are an unfortunate fact of life at all shows. SHOW COMMITTEE: USEF SUBCHAPTER 12- COMPETITION OFFICIALS GR1201 Licensee - Operation of Competition: The Licensee of a Licensed Competition is responsible for the operation of the competition. The Licensee may appoint a Show Committee of at least three responsible people who must be available at all times to act in executive capacity. It is the duty of the Licensee to enforce all the rules of the Federation from the time entries are admitted to the competition grounds until their departure. The Show Committee serving as Competition Officials will be empowered to make immediate decisions concerning any Code of Conduct Violations and any issues concerning the Welfare of the Horse while on the Competition Grounds. THE PYRAMID SOCIETYâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;S POSITION STATEMENT ON TREATMENT OF THE HORSE: As caretakers and guardians of the Egyptian Arabian horse, as well as industry leaders in this regard, The Pyramid Society strictly enforces all rules and guidelines related to the humane and ethical treatment of the horse, and as mandated by the USEF in the Egyptian Event Prize List. USEF MEMBERSHIP: Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. 15

VETERINARIAN INSPECTION: All animals are subject to a physical inspection, free of charge, by the Show Veterinarians as a safeguard against communicable diseases. The Pyramid Society also reserves the right to request a postmortem examination by the Show Veterinarians, free of charge, on any horse, which dies on the show grounds. EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS OF PHOTOGRAPHER AND VIDEOGRAPHER: The official show photographer and videographer have exclusive rights to photos and footage taken inside the covered arena.

For competition purposes, a horse is considered to be one year old on the first day of January following the actual date of foaling. In the case of a sale or lease, it is required that a contract of the sale or lease, or statement from the owner be submitted with the copy of the registration papers. In the case of an international entry, the horse must either be registered as an import by the Arabian Horse Association or issued a Competition Visa by the AHA. Please call AHA directly at 303-6964500 and ask to speak with someone regarding importation and/or a Competition Visa for a foreign registered Arabian. STRAIGHT EGYPTIAN CERTIFICATION All Straight Egyptian horses participating in the 2019 Egyptian Event MUST be certified as Straight Egyptian by The Pyramid Society. Owners are responsible for purchasing official certification through The Pyramid Society prior to or with show entry. Certification purchased during the show will incur an additional late fee of $10.00 per certificate. NOTE: Although The Pyramid Society will make every effort to provide Certification for post-entered horses during the show, this cannot be guaranteed. HEALTH PAPERS: The following must be brought to the show for all horses: a Negative Coggins dated within 12 months of show date and for all out-of-state horses; a Health Certificate dated within 30-days 16

of show date for inspection by the state. The submission of an entry blank to the Show Secretary shall constitute an acceptance by each person signing same of the provisions herein set forth in this Prize List. Note: Please review the Kentucky Health Regulations on page 19. ENTRIES: ONE HORSE PER ENTRY FORM ONLY Every exhibitor, rider, driver, handler, vaulter, longeur, coach and trainer or his/her agent(s) must sign an entry blank. In the case of a rider, driver, handler, vaulter or longeur under the age of 18, his/her parent or guardian, or if not available, the trainer, must sign an entry blank on the minor’s behalf. Unless specifically provided otherwise by law, any of the above persons may alternatively sign an entry blank in electronic form which shall have the same validity, force and effect as a signature affixed by hand. In addition, the “JUNIOR (MINOR) EXHIBITOR CONSENT” must be completed. Parents who sign need not be members of USEF. All entries must be complete. Enclose copies of horse registration papers (including pedigree), purchase contract (if applicable), USEF (if applicable) membership cards for each rider, handler, lessee, owner, agent and trainer, USEF amateur certification for riders/handlers entered in amateur to ride/handle classes, and correct fees as listed on page 23. CLOSING OF ENTRIES: Pre-entries close Monday, July 1, 2019. Entries postmarked AFTER this date will be charged respective post-entry fees as listed on page 23. REFUSAL OF ENTRIES: The Pyramid Society reserves the right to return or refuse any applicant’s show entry, for cause, including without limitation: (a) that the applicant’s membership in The Pyramid Society is not in good standing; (b) that the applicant has indicated or threatened an intent not to abide by The Pyramid Society’s Bylaws or the rules and regulations governing entry, competition and/or distribution of prize money; (c) that the applicant has a history of giving bad checks to The Society and may therefore request a credit card, money order or certified check; (d) or for any reason stated in USEF GR914. FUTURITY ENTRIES: All Futurity entries must be accompanied by a copy of the Futurity confirmation form from The Society. The Pyramid Society Futurity for Straight Egyptian and Egyptian-Sired horses is operated in accordance with the current rules of USEF. STRAIGHT OR EGYPTIAN SIRED BREEDER: As the organization dedicated to breeding Egyptian Arabians, The Pyramid Society wishes to take every opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of the breeders. Therefore, please complete the “Breeder” section and check whether your entry is Straight or Egyptian Bred or Sired on the entry form (next to “Sire” and “Dam”) for each horse entered in the show.

SCRATCHES: Entry fees for scratched classes without a Vet’s Certificate are non-refundable. If horses are scratched from one class & simultaneously added to another class, there will be no charge for added classes if values are the same. Notify the show office or the paddock manager when you scratch a class. JUNIOR EXHIBITORS: Shall not have reached their 19th birthday. See page 50 for additional information. MEMBERSHIP & MONEY MATTERS: Current “Premium Level” Membership in good standing within the Society is required for owners of all horses entered in the show. If a participating horse is owned in partnership, all partners with more than 20% ownership therein are required to be current “Premium Level” members. All fees must be paid in full before back numbers will be issued. Any participating horse owners who are not members of The Pyramid Society in the current year, prior to arrival at the Egyptian Event, must join at the Premium Level. Such membership must be paid in full by credit card, check or cash prior to issuance of a back number. There will be a $50 charge for any returned check. If a check has been returned for payment of entries, stalls, or other fees, The Society reserves the right to refuse subsequent personal checks from this party. Note: Any outstanding balances must be paid in full to be considered members in good standing for participation at the Event. REFUNDS: Office Charge and KHP Arena Fee are non-refundable. All other refunds will be made upon request with a written statement signed by your veterinarian if received by August 9, 2019. No Refunds on stalls after August 9, 2019. For refund requests received after this date, REFUNDS OF CLASS ENTRY FEES ONLY will be made upon presentation to the Show Secretary of a signed and dated Vet’s Certificate, prior to the end of the show. No refund for classes scratched without a Vet’s Certificate. PRIZE MONEY: Prize money will be paid within 30 days after the end of the show. For post-entries, only the amount equal to the entry fee will be added to the payback. HORSES OFF GROUNDS: Horses are not to be taken off the show grounds until they depart from the show, unless otherwise authorized in writing, by the Show Manager.

KENTUCKY HEALTH REGULATIONS All horses entering the state of Kentucky from out of state for The Pyramid Society’s Egyptian Event must be accompanied by: (1) An official health certificate of state origin that is issued by a state, federal, or licensed accredited veterinarian. The health certificate must include the following: Veterinarian’s statement that exam was made within the past 30 days and reveals the animal to be free from infectious disease or exposure thereto. Have attached a Coggins certificate from an approved USDA laboratory test showing the horse to be negative for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) within the past 12 months. OR (2) A valid Equine Interstate Event Permit issued by a Southern Region state. Relative information and a listing of acceptable permits may be found on the KY Department of Agriculture’s Website at: http://www.kyagr.com/statevet/equine.html The Kentucky State Department of Agriculture’s Division of Animal Health requires that all horses transported into the State of Kentucky must meet the above stated regulations. Owners and exhibitors are further cautioned that State livestock health regulations cover the transportation of dogs, cats, or other animals of any type of description into the state of Kentucky. The State Livestock Inspector will be on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park to check health papers and to inspect vans and trailers at his/her discretion. Note: These requirements are subject to change without notice. Exhibitors are advised to check the entry requirements prior to their departure at www.kyagr.com.

KENTUCKY HORSE PARK RULES BEDDING, FEED, HAY: Wood shavings and straw are considered the only acceptable forms of bedding and can be ordered through Dever Show Services at 859-233-9702 or at www.DeverInc.com. Exhibitors should contact Dever Show Services at least 48 hours prior to their arrival to make pre-order arrangements. Exhibitors may also bring their own bedding, feed and hay with them. No outside supplier may bring bulk bedding, feed or hay onto park grounds for resale. CATERING (KHP Exclusive) & CONCESSIONS: The Kentucky Horse Park retains the exclusive rights to operate all catering functions, including alcoholic beverages, for Equine Events. No entity or event may provide food services without express written consent. No requests for outside alcohol providers will be granted due to the 19

nature of liquor license held by the Kentucky Horse Park. In general, no self-catering will be allowed for events attended by participants or the general public. Any self-catered or donated food items served at an event must be pre-approved by Kentucky Horse Park management in writing and subject to a fee. The park has the final say in allowing or declining all self-catering requests. Events that fail to seek approval may be fined up to $500. All catering needs for equine events MUST be coordinated through and executed by the KHP Food and Beverage department. Please contact the Catering Manager at 859-259-4228 for all catering needs. Food will be available for purchase from the concessions at the Kentucky Horse Park. DISPOSAL OF MEDICAL WASTE & NEEDLES: Containers for needle disposal are available in every barn. All needles must be disposed of in the appropriate containers and MUST NOT be thrown in trash bins, stalls, or muck areas. DOGS: All dogs must be kept on a leash not to exceed 6â&#x20AC;&#x2122; in length, or suitably restrained in a tack stall, etc. Loose animals left in vehicles in distress, etc., can and will be removed from the grounds at the ownerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s expense. EVENT MANAGEMENT is responsible for notifying/making available all Park rules/regulations to participants in their event. Included but not limited to Exhibitors, Officials, and Volunteers. EXHIBITOR PROBLEMS/SPECIAL REQUESTS: All non-emergency problems or special requests must be relayed through show management to ensure prompt attention. REQUIREMENTS & RULES REGARDING USE OF EXTENSION CORDS IN STALLS, BARNS, OR TENTS: All appliances and extension cords must be 3-pronged, outdoor heavy-duty rated, and grounded. All power strips must be ground fault protected. Under NO circumstances may an extension cord be buried or covered. Do not wrap cords around any metal object including the bars on the stalls. Appliances not in compliance WILL be confiscated. The Kentucky Horse Park will not allow the following inside of barns or tents, which will be enforced by Horse Park Staff and/or Fire Marshall: any 2-wire appliances; any 2-wire extension cords; light duty cords for indoor use; any 3-way adaptors unless specifically made for outdoors; any adaptors without 3-wire connections; any cut or damaged cords. Under no circumstances is the display and operation of any cooking or heat-producing appliances, pyrotechnics, use or storage of flammable liquids, compressed gases or any other process deemed hazardous allowed. There shall be no electrical devices or installations. 20

MOTORIZED VEHICLES: Golf carts, mopeds, bicycles, etc., are allowed in the stable area & most event areas, but are strictly forbidden in the tourist area of the Park. No bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards etc. will be allowed on the concourse of the Covered Arena. The USEF & Kentucky Horse Park both require a valid driver’s license for the operation of golf carts and mopeds, therefore no drivers under age of sixteen (KRS 186-620). After dark all vehicles must have working head light and tail light (KRS: 189.040& KRS: 189.050). NO ALL TERRAIN (ATV) VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON HORSE SHOW GROUNDS. Under USEF guidelines: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of recognized competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with USEF Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. HORSES AND HORSE DRAWN VEHICLES Have the right-of-way at all times. MUCK DISPOSAL: All muck must be placed in marked muck bins. Any muck placed in the barns, at the ends of the barns, or in any other non-designated area will be punishable by a fine. PACKAGE/DELIVERIES: Event attendees should have packages delivered to their Hotel to assure safe delivery. The Park is not responsible for any deliveries to an event or event participant. Receiving party must be present when delivery is expected. Park mail service personnel will try to assist if conditions allow, however, any package/delivery may be refused/returned to sender, etc. at any time without notification. The park charges shipping and handling charges for any package received on park ground. PARK ADMISSION: Reduced Kentucky Horse Park admission is available to event participants and must be obtained at the Visitor Information Center. Proof of event participation may be required at time/point of sale. 21

PARKING & PASSES: The Kentucky Horse Parkâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s general parking fees are $5.00 per day, or exhibitors may purchase an event pass for $15.00. The park also offers a seasonal parking pass for $75. All visitor and exhibitor parking is located in the Kentucky Horse Parkâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s main parking lot. Parking is not allowed on either side of the Covered Arena or near the Show Office. Designated trailer/horse van parking is in the trailer parking lot, located at the back of the park. No parking in barn areas. Trailer parking in barn areas is for load and unload only. Trailers dropped in barn alleys will be towed. Violators will be fined by the KHP Mounted Police. All vehicles parked in the event areas must display a parking pass. KHP MOUNTED POLICE: The Kentucky Horse Park Mounted Police will have vehicles towed that are parked in unauthorized areas. SMOKING POLICY: No Smoking is allowed in any part of the Covered Arena. THE EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLAN: Please read and be familiar with the Emergency Preparedness Plans posted throughout the Covered Arena as well as at the Show Secretary Office. STABLING INFORMATION STALL RESERVATIONS & ASSIGNMENTS: The trainer or individual who reserves stalls is responsible for payment. If you wish to be stabled with or near a specific group, stall reservations must be sent in together. First refusal will be given to exhibitors who wish to reserve all the same stalls (with no additions or subtractions), under the same name as in the previous year, provided the reservation and payment are received by the July 1, 2019 deadline. If you request additional stalls, please indicate the requested number on the reservation form. If additional stalls are not available in your original location, indicate whether you prefer the additional stalls in another location, or whether you would like to move to a location that can accommodate your entire stall request. Second priority for stall requests will be determined by the postmarked date of requests received with full payment. The Show Manager handles all stall assignments. Verbal stall reservations will not be accepted. No gifting of stalls. Stalls are the property of The Pyramid Society. Stalls can be held and loaned to others, as long as the farm holding the stalls is still exhibiting horse(s) in the Event, and decorating all of the stalls. The year after a farm has not exhibited horses, they must relinquish those stalls and they revert back to The Pyramid Society. Large blocks of stalls may become available from time to time and The Pyramid Society will try to keep these blocks intact. The stalls will be assigned by request and their assignment is the sole discretion of Show Management. Past participation at the Egyptian Event as well as previous stabling location will be factors in determining the new occupants. In an effort to meet all exhibitors’ stabling needs, and to maintain flexibility to accommodate changes in stall requests, stabling assignments will not be given until the week prior to the Egyptian Event. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE TIMES: Stall charges (horse or tack) cover the period from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27 through 12:00 noon Sunday, September 1st. All stalls MUST be vacated by 12:00 noon on September 1st. Late departures will not be accepted. As there is another show the weekend prior, Egyptian Event stalls will NOT be available until 12:00 noon on Monday, August 26th for early arrival. Early arrival fees will be waived for anyone wishing to decorate beginning on Monday at noon. However, if those stalls contain horses, tack or supplies, prior to 9:00 a.m. August 27th, early arrival fees of $62.00 per day per stall will be charged. Early arrivals will not be able to ride in any rings. Only hand walking is allowed. Note: For anyone needing to arrive prior to noon on Monday, August 26th, there may be stabling elsewhere on KHP grounds, in an alternate location, to be set up directly through KHP. However, under no circumstances will the Egyptian Event stalls be available prior to August 26th at noon. As in the past, premium stalls are required to be appropriately decorated. Stall doors and fronts may be decorated but should be done in such a manner that each horse stabled within can be seen by anyone, at all times. NOTE: No holes may be drilled, cored, or punched in any KHP facility without prior written approval by facility management. This includes the stabling area. No staples, nails or screws are allowed on eaves and/or ends of the barns. Competitors wishing to display banners or curtains must build a structure independent of the barns. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Electrical extension cords may only be used in accordance with the Fire Marshal Rules and Kentucky Horse Park regulations. Horses will not be permitted to show that have been stabled off show grounds for any reason, except with the written permission of the Show Manager. Stalls are 10’ x 10’ boxes with Dutch doors or sliding doors. The Pyramid Society would like to remind exhibitors that all barn aisles are “common ground” and should be treated as such, giving due regard to fellow exhibitors. Fire regulations require that all barn aisles remain open and accessible by emergency vehicles AT ALL TIMES. COMPETITION JUDGING AND SCORING SYSTEMS NOTE: “EXHIBITORS MEETING FOR OWNERS & HANDLERS" Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 4:00 p.m., Covered Arena In-gate: Ring procedure and Code of Conduct for the 2019 Egyptian Event will be discussed and strictly enforced. The 2019 Egyptian Event Judging will employ a four (4) judge rotational panel for Breeding in Hand classes (Halter). Three judges will be adjudicating the class in “center ring” while one will serve as a Ring Monitor for violations. The fourth (4th) judge will not be evaluating and scoring the horses during the class. He or she will be tasked with monitoring the ring for any penalties as outlined in this Prize List allowing the “center ring” judges to focus on scoring or ranking the entries. ALL judges will have penalty cards in their possession and at any time any judge may choose to issue a penalty as per the guidelines contained in this Prize List. WE ENCOURAGE ALL EXHIBITORS, TRAINERS, AND OWNERS TO PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE PRIZE LIST CAREFULLY! THREE JUDGES TOTAL POINT SYSTEM: (*T) (*T Denotes Three Judge Total Point Judging System in the class schedule) Used in: Egyptian Breeders Challenge Classes (EBC) All American Straight Egyptian Challenge Cup ALL Amateur and Junior to Handle Classes Egyptian “50 For 50” AATH Amateur Owner Trained and Shown Traditional Standup Get of Sire and Produce of Dam Classes Most Classic Head and Liberty Classes ALL CHAMPIONSHIPS (EXCLUDING PERFORMANCE AND LIBERTY CHAMPIONSHIPS) Three judges in each class are numbered 1, 2 and 3 with judge #1 designated as the "Call" judge. Each judge will independently place, in order of preference, the number of entries to be awarded. This number may be adjusted by the actual number of entries shown in the class. If applicable, an additional Reserve horse entry will also be recorded on the judges card. The Reserve entry on the judges' cards are never used in the scoring of a class and may be used only upon the disqualification of a placing entry as described under "DISQUALIFICATIONS." The total point score for each entry will then be calculated as the sum of the points earned by placings over all three of the judge’s cards. A tie on points will be resolved as described under "RESOLUTION BY CALL JUDGE." Candidate horses for Champion or First place are selected from the highest placed horse on each of the judge’s cards. If the same horse appears more than once in the candidate list, that horse wins. If three different horses appear as candidates, the one having the highest total points will be named the winner. A tie on points will be resolved as described under "RESOLUTION BY CALL JUDGE." The remainder of the placings will be awarded based on total points, with any ties resolved by the Call Judge. RESOLUTION BY CALL JUDGE: A tie on points will be resolved by the placings on the Number One (Call judge) card. The tied horse placed highest on this card wins the placing. If no tied horse appears on the Call judge’s card, the Number Two judge becomes the Call judge and the procedure is repeated. The procedure is extended to the Number Three judge if necessary. The initial Call judge for each placing resolution is always the Number One judge.

DISQUALIFICATIONS: If a horse is disqualified from a class that has been scored, adjustment to the class placing is made as follows: The number of horses shown is reduced by one only if the disqualified horse was not eligible to participate in the class. The disqualified horse is removed from the scored rankings and each of the horses placing below the disqualified horse are moved up one award place. In all cases where the scored results identified a "Reserve" entry, that horse shall be given the unassigned placing. If the scored results did not identify a "Reserve" entry and Reserve horses were entered on the judges’ cards, the unassigned placing will be given to (1) any horse appearing as the Reserve entry on more than one card, (2) the Reserve entry on the Call judges card. STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE: The Pyramid Society Standard of Excellence will serve as the Breed Standard for all judging. SINGLE JUDGE SYSTEM: (*S) (*S Denotes Single Judge System in the Class Schedule) Used In: All Performance Classes qualifying as well as Championships Amateur Owner Trained and Shown Sport Horse Style All Performance classes will be adjudicated by a single judge and will be adjudicated comparatively. All horses shall be worked at all gaits both ways of the ring and otherwise as described by USEF AR 8 Arabian Hunter Pleasure Section and USEF AR 9 Arabian Western Pleasure Section. At the judges’ discretion, horses shall change from any gait as listed in the class specifications. Horses must come to the line-up at the gait requested. In the line-up, horses must stand quietly and back readily. Horses are not to stretch on the line. One rider per horse per class. An exhibitor is entitled to request only one time out per class. The judges placing will be final.

AATH Entrance at the trot Remain in the arena Collective walk on a loose line Presentation The following conduct applies to all in-hand classes: Entrance at the Trot: All horses will be brought into the ring (arena) at the trot on a loose line in order of oldest to youngest. Judging begins when the first horse enters the arena. From the moment the horse enters the arena its Movement is being evaluated and scored. Each horse shall enter the arena in a clockwise manner and proceed around the arena along the rail to the out-gate where they will exit the arena and remain relaxed in the holding paddock. Horses shall be encouraged to move with cadence, elegance, impulsion and charismatic animation at the trot exhibiting authentic Arabian Type. Emphasis shall be placed on a free moving horse with a naturally animated carriage. Excessive circling and shanking to intimidate the horse will be penalized in the Movement score. Collective Walk on a loose line: The horse shall walk in a natural manner on a loose lead with the handler at the side of their horse, whips down. The lead must maintain a drape and the handler must not place their hand on the chain or close enough to in any way restrict the natural head and neck motion. The handler may not unnecessarily impede the forward motion of the horse while at the walk except for safety and spacing reasons. At this time Balance, Quality and Substance at the Walk will be judged. Shanking or the positioning of the whip to intimidate the horse will be penalized in the Balance, Quality and Substance at the Walk score.

Presentation: Each horse from oldest to youngest will proceed to a designated point on the rail to await judging. At the instruction of the Ring Steward, each horse shall be led to the judge(s) at the walk, continue past the judges at the walk in a straight line, return at the walk and be presented for judging. In order to satisfy a proper presentation to the judge(s), horses should stand correctly, bearing weight on all four feet (not stretched), with at least one front and one rear cannon bone perpendicular to the ground. The horse shall be shown in a quiet and deliberate manner with no undue stress placed on the horse. An alert and attentive pose is allowed with the natural charisma, pride and intelligent personality of the Arabian emphasized. Elevation of the head and neck are allowed but should not exceed a horizontal plane where the nostrils are higher than the eyes. Any horse exhibited in such manner will be asked by the Judge(s) to lower their head. At NO TIME IS INTIMIDATION OF THE HORSE ALLOWED. Signs of intimidation may include but are not limited to, crouching, cowering, quivering, withdrawing or evading backwards or sideways from the handler, buckling at the knees, sudden extreme flinching or shying the head away from hand or whip movements of the handler, anxious pinning of the ears and wringing of the tail. A fearful or intimidated horse will be penalized and may be excused. A light correction or cue to the horse to position, gain control or whoa is acceptable. The only shanking allowed shall be limited to an unruly horse in order to regain control. â&#x20AC;&#x153;Shankingâ&#x20AC;? is considered the use of the lead and/or chain in a harsh and forceful manner. The whip is not mandatory. We encourage exhibitors to show without a whip and use grass or treats to gain the attention and expression of their horse. ANY contact of the horse with the whip at any time during the class is subject to mandatory elimination. In addition to any potential penalty assessment, any exhibitor violating these rules will be asked to drop their whip and stand quietly at the side of their horse while judging is completed.

CLASS TYPE D: CHAMPIONSHIP RING PROCEDURE CLASSES: All CHAMPIONSHIP CLASSES EXCEPT FOR PERFORMANCE AND LIBERTY Inclusive Championship: The Egyptian Event utilizes an INCLUSIVE Championship Scoring System for all Championship classes. Under such a system all entries are treated equally in a championship class, regardless of the score or placing earned in the qualifying classes. As such, ANY entry forward in a Championship may be awarded the title of Gold Champion or Champion. All Championships will be judged independently and comparatively. The judges must not confer. Judges will examine all horses individually: walking, trotting, and standing.

Entrance at the Trot: All qualified horses to be shown individually at the beginning of each championship class. Judging begins when the first horse enters the arena and from the moment the horse enters the arena it is being evaluated. Each horse shall enter the arena at a trot on a loose line in a clockwise (exception: amateur classes will be counter-clockwise) manner and proceed around the entire circumference of the ring. Horses shall be encouraged to move with cadence, elegance, impulsion and charismatic animation at the trot exhibiting authentic Arabian Type. Emphasis shall be placed on a free moving horse with a naturally animated carriage. Excessive circling and shanking to intimidate the horse not related to control will be penalized. The first horse to enter will be the oldest entry according to birthdate. Horses will be presented in birthdate order from oldest to youngest until every horse has been trotted individually for the Championship judging panel. The individual presentations at the trot should optimize the opportunity for the Championship judging panel to properly assess not only overall quality and capability of movement, but Arabian type, presence, attitude and charisma as well, for each championship entry. Following the trot, each entry shall exit the ring following the instructions of the Ring Steward. Holding Paddock: All entries MUST remain in the designated warm-up/holding paddock throughout the entire championship class process or at least until the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Most Classic winners (or the Champion and Reserve Champion winners) for that class have been announced by the Paddock Announcer. While in the holding paddock and not â&#x20AC;&#x153;on deckâ&#x20AC;? or entering the arena all entries must remain relaxed. Any entry not complying with these requirements will be eliminated from further judging in the championship class and WILL NOT be eligible for any championship award. Collective Walk on a loose line: Immediately following the individual presentations at the trot, all championship entries shall enter the ring collectively at a walk in a clockwise (exception: amateur classes will be counterclockwise) direction in the same order they entered at the trot (by birthdate oldest to youngest). The purpose of this presentation is to allow the Judging Panel to collectively assess the balance, quality and substance of the championship entries at a natural walk. The first entry shall circle clockwise at a walk around the entire circumference of the ring completing one (1) complete circle at the instruction of the Ring Steward(s). Each successive entry shall follow the entry ahead of them at the walk according to the instruction of the Ring Steward(s) until all entries have been evaluated by the Judging Panel. The horse shall walk in a natural manner on a loose lead with the handler at the side of their horse, whips down. The lead must maintain a drape and the handler must not place their hand on the chain or close enough to in any way restrict the natural head and neck motion except for safety and control. The handler may not unnecessarily impede the forward motion of the horse while at the walk except for safety, control and spacing reasons. Exhibitors may be penalized or excused for violation of the rules. At the direction of the Ringmaster all horses shall then line up for presentation to the judges. 34

Presentation: At the direction of the Ring Master, Exhibitors shall line up their horses in two (2) equal lines, one on either side of center ring and parallel to the audience. The first entry shall proceed from the collective walk along the rail to the end of the arena opposite the in-gate. The first half (4 6 horses) of the championship candidates shall line up head-to-tail behind the initial entry and all should face the Photo Backdrop. The second line of championship candidates shall form a line beginning with the first horse in the second half (4-6 horses) of the class, on the out-gate side of the arena, near the out-gate. The remainder of the horses shall line up head-to-tail behind this horse and then all horses in that line shall turn and face the Photo Backdrop. All horses should leave adequate space for showing and adjudicating. Entries should be evenly spaced in each line with at least 10 ft (3 m) of space between horses head-to-tail. The lining up of horses DOES NOT indicate a ranking of horses in a Championship. Horses are simply lined up head-to-tail in two lines according to birthdate (oldest to youngest) to allow the audience a better view of each entry as well as adequate space between entries for horses to be exhibited properly and adjudicated thoroughly. ALL horses are considered equal in each Championship class regardless of the line in which they stand. Each exhibit has an equal chance of being named Gold Champion or Champion by any judge, no matter where they are positioned in the ring during a Championship. The total number of horses in each line will depend on the total number of horses qualified for each Championship. With six (6) horses qualified, each line will consist of three (3) horses each. Should seven (7) horses be qualified, the first line shall contain three (3) horses and the second line will contain four (4) horses. If eight (8) horses are qualified, each line will be comprised of four (4) horses each. Should nine (9) horses be qualified, the first line shall be comprised of four (4) horses, and the second line comprised of five (5) horses Should ten (10) horses be present and shown, each line shall possess five (5) entries each. If eleven (11) horses qualify, the first line shall be comprised of five (5) horses, and the second line comprised of six (6) horses. In the event of twelve horses qualified, each line shall consist of six (6) entries each. In the event there are less than six (6) horses qualified for the Championship, all horses shall be in one line at the discretion of the Ring Master. Each entry will then be presented INDIVIDUALLY to determine championship placing. No individual scores shall be awarded â&#x20AC;&#x201C; all judging in the championship classes shall be comparative. Judges will move as a group to evaluate each horse in succession. The Judges will make individual decisions about the horses, proceeding as a group is for viewing and ring control purposes only. All three judges simultaneously will begin adjudicating each entry by first evaluating the oldest horse by birthdate in the class. Judges will then proceed as a group to the next entry, until all horses have been evaluated by the Judging Panel in oldest to youngest order. 35

During the collective evaluation of each Championship class, immediately following the collective walk, exhibitors are ONLY allowed to stand-up/show and/or prepare horses for presentation when the Judging Panel is either evaluating their horse or evaluating the horse immediately prior (“on deck”). Only TWO (2) horses should be showing or in a presentation stance at any time in the arena during the group evaluation by the Judges. All other horses will be controlled by their handlers in a nonthreatening manner and may not be schooled or stand in a presentation stance. While waiting for the Judging Panel, exhibitors are encouraged to stand alongside the horse facing the audience until the group of Judges has moved into a position near them to allow for preparation and presentation of their entry. Controlled circling and positioning the horse for presentation to the judge(s) is allowed for the horse “on deck” and the horse being evaluated by the judges. The only shanking allowed shall be limited to an unruly horse in order to regain control. A light correction or cue to the horse to position, gain control or whoa is acceptable. “Shanking” is considered the use of the lead and/or chain in a harsh and forceful manner. The presentation to the Judges will follow the same description as in the Qualifying classes. All rules and restrictions as written for individual presentation to the judge(s) in the qualifying classes shall apply to the Championship classes as well. Any handler deemed in violation of those rules and restrictions will be asked to drop their whip and stand at their horse’s side. If a horse is to be penalized according to those rules – it will be done in the final ranking. There are no penalty points in non-scored classes. Once an entry has been evaluated, exhibitors MUST cease from presenting the exhibit until all horses have been evaluated by the Judging Panel collectively. As with the horses waiting to be evaluated, exhibitors are encouraged to stand alongside the horse facing the audience until all exhibits have been evaluated. All horses not being shown will be controlled by their handlers in a nonthreatening manner and may not be schooled or stand in a presentation stance. At the conclusion of the individual judging all handlers will be asked to exhibit their horses for final placing in their presentation stance. The rules and restrictions as written for individual presentation in the qualifying classes will apply at all times during this class including this final evaluation period. Any handler deemed in violation of those rules and restrictions will be asked to drop their whip and stand at their horses’ side. The judges may excuse any entry for violation of the rules and restrictions. When all judging is complete the Handlers will be asked to relax while numbers are verified. Upon verification of numbers all horses will be excused from the ring, the winners will be announced in the Holding Paddock and enter the ring for their awards individually. (Exception: In the Amateur Championships at the discretion of Show Management the entries may remain relaxed in the arena while awards are being presented)

CLASS TYPE M: MISCELLANEOUS CLASSES GET OF SIRE AND PRODUCE OF DAM The Get of Sire and Produce of Dam classes will be adjudicated by the Three Judge Total Point System, using three of the four rotational judges. Ties will be broken following the “Resolution by Call Judge” System as described on page 31. ENTRANCE AT THE WALK: At the direction of the Ringmaster each “entry” (consisting of 2 or more horses sired by the same stallion or the produce of the same dam for the respective classes) shall proceed into the arena at the walk along the rail single file. Each entry shall be in Birthdate order from oldest to youngest. PRESENTATION: At the direction of the Ringmaster, upon reaching a designated spot on the rail the entries shall turn and walk to line up in Center Ring. Each entry shall line up head to tail at the direction of the Ringmaster. The judges will adjudicate each horse individually using The Pyramid Standards of Excellence as a guide. Exhibitors are allowed to present their horses to the judges in a presentation stance at this time. ALL RULES AND RESTRICTIONS AS FOUND IN CLASS TYPE C IN THE RING PROCEDURE COMPARATIVE AS IT RELATES TO THE PRESENTATION WILL APPLY. This includes all potential penalties and/or elimination. A walk or trot of each entry (group) is optional at the Call Judges discretion. Emphasis is to be placed on reproductive likeness, uniformity, quality of breed characteristics, conformation and similarity. Each judge shall rank the entries on their card through tenth (10th) place The Three Judge Total Point System will be used to determine the Class Winners. *Please note this is the ONLY Halter class that does not enter by Birthdate. The entries will enter by back number, from LOWEST TO HIGHEST. MOST CLASSIC HEAD The Most Classic Head Awards will be adjudicated by the Three Judge Total Point System, using three of the four rotational judges. Using The Pyramid Society Standard of Excellence as a guide the judges will consider the head of the horses in the Straight Egyptian Championships for this award. Each judge will name one winner for each class. The winning entry does not have to be chosen from those horses listed as placed on that judges’ Championship card. This award is a separate placing entirely. Ties will be broken by the Call Judges card.

LIBERTY CLASS DIVISION PRESENTATION: Horses shall be shown in the arena at liberty, free of any and all tack. The order of go will be announced. Each horse will be given two (2) minutes loose in the arena to be evaluated. During the two minutes the horse may exhibit any gait. Any posing or presentation of the horse during that two minutes other than at liberty shall cause the entry to be disqualified. Horses may be accompanied by no more than two handlers in conservative attire. Whips are to be no longer than six feet (6’) including snapper/ lash/appendage. Small appendages (no more than 12 inches in length) of ribbon, plastic, etc. are permitted. Please see USEF AR 114 BreedingIn-Hand appointments. Only one halter per horse allowed and that shall be the one the horse is wearing when it enters the ring. NO other appliances or devices shall be allowed. Handlers are given two minutes following the liberty presentation to catch their horse. Horses not caught within two (2) minutes shall be disqualified. JUDGING: The Liberty Class shall be judged by a three-judge panel, with each judge scoring each entry. The scores for each horse will be totaled. If there is a Preliminary round held, the horses with the five highest total scores will advance to the Final on Saturday. The scores from the Preliminary round do not carry over to the Final round. In the event there is a Final round only, the awards will be presented in the order of the highest scoring entries, with awards presented through third place. The draw for both the Preliminary and the Final round will be random. AMATEUR OWNED TRAINED AND SHOWN CLASSES Classes: Class 25 Egyptian Mares/Fillies/Geldings/Stallions AOTS Sport Horse In-Hand Style (all ages) Class 43 Egyptian Mares/Fillies/Geldings AOTS Traditional Standup Style (all ages) AWARDS: Winner Trophy and Placed Top Ten Ribbons. ELIGIBILITY: Owners of participating horses must be current “Premium Level” members “in good standing” of The Pyramid Society. Straight Egyptian and Egyptian-Sired horses are eligible to compete in the AOTS classes. Amateur Owned Trained and Shown Eligibility: Exhibitors and Horses must meet specifications outlined in the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Guidelines General and Arabian Division. Exhibitors must clearly understand and adhere to the definition of an Amateur, Owner, and Professional. 38

USEF DEFINITION OF AOTS: Amateur Owned, Trained, and Shown. Classes may be offered in any section. Exhibitors, attendants, and headers must meet the specifications for amateur status (refer to GR1306 and GR1307). Horses are not to have been professionally trained and/or shown by a professional for a period of one year immediately prior to the competition (riding and driving instruction for the owner to be excluded). In addition, horses are not to be exhibited, prepared, groomed or schooled with the aid of or by a professional while on or off the competition grounds immediately before or during the competition. Horses may be stabled with a professional during the competition and hauled by a professional. Professional help for situations relevant to safety is permitted. The Pyramid Society Standard of Excellence will serve as the Breed Standard for all judging and the judging will follow the specifications of the Amateur to Handle Classes. Class 25 Egyptian Mares/Fillies/Geldings, all ages AOTS Sport Horse In-Hand Style will use a designated single judge to score the class individually utilizing The Pyramid Society AOTS Sport Horse In-Hand Style Individual Scoresheet. (see below for Class and Scoring Procedures and Appointments) Class Procedure: 1. Following a posted order, entries in each class will enter arena and proceed to the judging area one at a time, walk to the apex of the triangle. Conformation judging may take place before or after performance on the triangle, so wait for the judgeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s instructions. Wait for the judgeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s request to proceed on the triangle. The handler will lead the horse on the perimeter of the 39

triangle at the walk and trot, returning to the apex and wait for further instructions. At the completion of the judging, the handler will lead the horse away from the judging area and exit the arena. The triangle may be adjusted to fit local conditions. 2. Triangle: Corners should be well defined. A marker will be used at the apex and at each corner to define placement of the turn for the exhibitor. Use of plants or flowers is allowed.

3. The horse is to be shown in an “open position,” for conformation judging. The traditional way of showing open position would be with the right front leg slightly back and the right hind leg slightly forward; but as long as all four legs of the horse are visible to the judge when standing on either side of the horse, this would be acceptable. The horse’s head and neck should be allowed to show in a natural and comfortable carriage, and the handler should stand away from the horse with a loose lead line. 4. A whip may be used to guide the horse. Scoring Procedures: 1. Horses will be shown individually on the triangle. 2. The Pyramid Society AOTS Sport Horse In-Hand Style Individual Scoresheet shall be used. The Scoresheet will be provided to the Judge by The Pyramid Society. A scribe shall be provided for each judge whose main duty is to record the judgeâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s scores and comments on the score sheets. The scribe may be asked to transfer scores from the individual sheets to the master score sheet. 5. Tied scores for Sport Horse In-Hand shall be broken first by referring to Type, then Movement, then Conformation (total score), then Quality, Balance and Harmony and finally Character. If the horses are still tied, the judge, will make a final tie-breaking decision. 6. Scores shall be reported as a total based on the stated percentages against a possible total of 100% and all scores and placings must be posted. Unofficial scores may be posted during the class and/or final score may be posted at the end of each class. 7. If a mathematical error on the score sheet is discovered, it must be brought to the attention of competition management within one hour of the official posting of the scores from the last class of the competition day. Competition management must announce said posting and must make score sheets available to competitors immediately. Appointments 1. Both Dressage-type and Hunter-type appointments (tack and attire) are permitted. Competitors with non-conforming appointments will be eliminated from judging consideration. 2. Tack: Bridles are mandatory on horses three years and older. A bridle shall be a dressagetype snaffle bridle or hunter-type snaffle bridle. Snaffle may be with or without cheeks, keepers allowed. Use of a noseband is optional but if used, it must be a cavesson, flash, figure 8, Mexican, dropped, or crescent style noseband. A split or single lead made of either leather or chain (or a combination of both) may be used, attached through both sides of the bit, with/or instead of reins. Horses aged two years may be shown in a bridle (as listed above), or a plain leather stable halter. Horses under age two years must be shown in a plain leather stable halter. Competitors with non-conforming appointments will be eliminated from judging consideration. 3. Attire a. Conservative casual attire is recommended for the handler. This would include casual pants and shirt. Also acceptable would be Dressage or Hunter attire including breeches, boots, shirt with tie, stock tie or choker collar. Jackets, hats, vests, and gloves are optional. b. The handler may carry only one whip, maximum length of six feet, including lash and without attachments (i.e. plastic bags, ribbons, etc.).

SPECIAL AWARDS AMATEUR HIGH POINT AWARD Sponsored by The Wisconsin Egyptian Horse Alliance and presented on Saturday, September 1st between the ATH Championship classes. The 2019 Amateur High Point Award is open to all amateur handlers in any halter classes at the Egyptian Event. The point system is as follows: In halter classes 10 places are awarded points; points are awarded: 1 point for placing and 1 point for each horse that the handler out-places. 2 additional points are assigned to handlers competing in OPEN classes. Award winners in 2 prior successive years are not eligible for consideration. (Amateur handlers should check the appropriate box on the show entry form for each horse they are handling and contact the show office to add additional horses to their high point calculations. EGYPTIAN EVENT HANDLER OF EXCELLENCE AWARD This award, determined by the Judges, will be presented to the handler who best exemplifies the philosophy of The Pyramid Society AS GUARDIANS OF THE BREED. The Handler who presents his/her horses during the Egyptian Event with the UTMOST RESPECT AND COMPASSION while showing them to their best will be given this award just prior to announcing the results of the Senior Stallion Championship on Saturday night. EGYPTIAN EVENT HIGHEST HONORS Breeder Awards given to honor and recognize the Breeders of the Gold Senior Champion Halter Mare and Stallion. EL GOHARA+// AWARD Annually presented by Dr. Amy Fulmer-Vogel and John Vogel, Baitari Arabians, Pleasant Prairie, WI and presented on Saturday, September 1st following the EBC classes. Chosen by ring officials to be awarded for the most beautiful expression of the close bond between a riderâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s heart and the soul of their performance horse. Given in memory of El Gohara+//. The winner will also receive an individual award. BREEDER AWARDS are also presented to the breeder of the winners of the Straight Egyptian Futurities.
