We are experiencing an unprecedented time in housing across our province. We see unhoused people living in tents in parks, we see families unable to save for downpayments, and people taking on smaller spaces than they need.

People need housing.

In fact, Nova Scotia needs to build over 71,000 units of housing by 2027 to meet the needs of our population.

REALTORS® understand this. They also understand that housing is a spectrum –it’s everything from shelters and supportive housing to long term care, rentals, market housing and everything in between. If one area of the housing spectrum is unhealthy, the entire spectrum suffers. And REALTORS® advocate for solutions-focused thinking and housing across the housing spectrum.

In October, Nova Scotia will hold municipal elections.
