Results – Eliminates “call reluctance” and you can reach over 100 agents in 60 minutes with higher “opt-ins” than emails, weekly tips or direct mail. Sign up for slydial (www.slydial.com). This service places a call to a CELL PHONE and puts you right in their voicemail. Choose the premium service (you can use by just dialing (267) 759 3425 and follow the prompts. Cost is ten cents and you have to listen to an ad. This method adds 10 seconds and is irritating). I set my office number as the primary one and my cell phone as secondary. I then downloaded the free slydial app to my Iphone so I can automatically dial from my contact list (way cool). With premium you go right to the enter phone # prompt. Much faster. I also just hit “redial” on my phone to go to the next call. Total time per call 30 seconds. Note: if the phone # turns out to be a land line (or transfers to a land line) you may get a real person so just go through your script! I have a word doc I bring up on my desktop that I read from. After the first few calls you will only need to glance at it to be sure you are hitting the points. You want the message to be natural, not “scripted”. The script helps you to be concise and the message as powerful and builds your image of expertise. My goal is to have every realtor think of me first when they need an answer or help. I am branding as AskDavidGarrett on everything. Go to google and sign up for alerts. I chose California home values and Los Angeles home prices and I get emails with fresh news and blog enteries (if you find some great subjects please let us know). I just drop the basic info in that day’s script. This gives me something to mention in my script that likely the realtor hasn’t seen yet. (Tip – bookmark the story so you can forward it as I have had realtors call back and ask for it. If it is an important story that realtors might miss create an email letter and send it out through your database to all your realtors) Select your realtors to call. I have started with those in my database (they get my weekly tips). I use MortgageQuest and I found I needed cell numbers sometimes so I just clicked on the realtor’s website link there and looked it up.
The first day I did this I was on call #8 when call #6 signed up for SPS. Up popped the email telling me so and, damn, that felt fine! My strategy now for SPS is to go after realtor prospects in Southern California with at least 5 listings (big loans here still) that are internet smart (my assistant finds these realtors for me and saves their websites in a folder). I am going to slydial them with the google news strategy and my call to action will be my Purl.
