An evolution of our 2015-2019 Strategic Plan, the 2020 Strategic Plan is a Board-driven initiative that serves as a comprehensive roadmap for:

• A competent/qualified faculty and academic excellence consistently rate as very important to parents. • Most parents believe an expectation for academic excellence is evident at the school, the school is doing a good job of preparing their sons academically, and the academic program is rigorous and challenging. • Regis students’ scores consistently exceed the ERB norm for Independent Schools, with improvements and growth occurring in writing mechanics, verbal reasoning, and mathematics. • Some parents and students expressed a desire for heightened rigor around mathematics, writing and AP/honors prep. • The recent curriculum changes have caused some concern and misunderstandings among parents and teachers. 09

ACTIONS: ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

An academic masterplan has been put in place with the addition of an innovative curriculum mapping tool that strengthens and aligns the academic program throughout all divisions. A new research-based comprehensive faculty development program has been implemented to guide faculty toward instructional excellence.

• Total enrollment for 2019-20 is at 82% capacity. • Net retention for past five years averages 92% or above for all grades. • 100% of 2019 Regis graduates were accepted by their first choice of high school. • There was an expressed desire by all constituents for the school to identify, articulate and communicate the key descriptors of the school.

•A lthough most parents believe there are adequate classrooms and instructional space, many mentioned the need for the main administration/early childhood building to be rebuilt. • Parents requested that the school communicate a plan for facility upgrades and expansion to better help them “sell” the school to their friends. • The long-range goal of advancement is to balance the budget and provide funds for program and facility improvement. • The Regis School retired its debt from the building of the Miller Family Student Life Center in 2019 and is now debt free. • In addition to our current campus and paved parking lots, Regis owns 4 additional lots in the neighborhood.

A comprehensive multi-year advancement plan (encompassing Marketing, Communications, Enrollment, Development) will be created and updated annually. • School leaders and all constituencies will operate through a spirit of collaboration to advance the Regis mission. • A marketing and communications plan, including creation of consistent messaging and brand for the school, is being developed.

A facilities master plan will be developed to fully utilize the Regis campus. 26
