% Foreign Born In 1900 Cleveland was a gateway city, attracting a high percentage of foreign born citizens. However, that percentage decreased significantly during the war period and never increased after opposed to other large cities. What ammenities is Cleveland missing to attract foreign born citizens?

Future Crop Opportunities
With an increase in diversity and size of population, the crops and manner in which we produce them should increase in diversity and size as well. A wide selection of fruits and vegetables that can grow in a changing climate should be considered. New methods of protein production such as aquaponics should be tested to produce local favorites in larger quantities.

This study of St. Peter's Basilica was part of a collaborative map of the city of Rome focusing of the layers of history. Below is a section cut through the center of the basilica. On the left is a one-point aerial perspective of the front facade of the basilica.
istanbul
Karakoy is a ferry stop in Istanbul. There is not only a ferry station, but a fish market as well. The purpose of my design was to work with water on site and create green spaces to be used when waiting for a ferry or enjoying a fish sandwich. On this page has images of existing conditions on top with proposed solutions below. The next page has a site plan with three section perspectives through the site.
Network Park
The final project was located adjacent to the new Vikings Stadium. Entitled Network Park is a place for the citizens of Minneapolis and its visitors to gather. A flexible plaza is located in the center block to hold markets, food trucks, and other large scale events. The block to the West has a large terraced lawn to hold movies and music in the summer. On either side of the lawn are four, forty feet long community tables for eating. The block to the east contains aspen with movable seating and benches.

cOLLISION BEND (RE)VEALED Much of the downtown Cleveland riverfront is covered in large surface parking lots. When projecting forward into the anthropocene, the need for these lots will change with shifts in energy use and vehicles. This project proposes a systematic removal of these lots into park space through the interaction and study with community members. Through community engagement a new relationship with the environment and its processes will be formed.
