Since 2006 Holy Innocents annually awards grants to students and families who make a difference to our community by being faithful to living out the mission of our Church and School.

Students who make a difference respect others and accept responsibility. They and their families attend Mass and church services regularly, and participate in school activities. Financial need is also considered. Awards range from $300 to full tuition amounts. For 2021-22 we awarded over $50,000 in grants and scholarships.

Current Make a Difference Awards include: Abby O’Beirne Memorial Scholarship, Andrew Crawford Memorial Scholarship, Bob Ritchie Memorial Scholarship, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Scholarship, Daniel Faulkner Educational Grant, Donald “Ducky” Green Memorial Scholarship, Helen Hallowell Foundation Scholarship, Henry A. & Joan P. Gluch Memorial Scholarship, Jack & Beatrice Lees Memorial Scholarship, and the Holy Innocents Make A Difference Awards.

You too can make a difference for our students! All awards are made possible due to donations from many generous friends of the parish. To sponsor an annual grant or scholarship, or to memorialize a loved one with an annual grant or scholarship, contact Linda Marchese, Holy Innocents Advancement Director at 215-743-2600 or development@holyinnocentsrc.org.

We extend our sincerest thanks to the staff, faculty, and students of Holy Innocents Church and School who have generously donated their time and talents to make this a successful event.

Dear Friends of Holy Innocents, Welcome to our Holy Innocents Memorial Golf Tournament!

We like to say, today is as much a Friend Raiser as it is a Fund Raiser. Yes, we hope to raise close to $20,000 from our Tournament to help our parents in affording to send their children to our Catholic school. And we are happy to say that we have enrolled 282 students as we write this letter in early August. As we tee off this morning we would love to say we hit the 290 mark. Here’s hoping… and praying for the most students in over a decade.

Besides helping to raise needed funds to support our school, you participate in this Tournament because you are a friend of Holy Innocents. Many of you have been with us since its inception. You serve on our Boards, you come to our events, you attend Mass at Holy Inn, you are here today. You are our friends. We are deeply honored and grateful for that friendship.

Friendship is like the game of dominoes. One friend talks to another friend, who talks to another friend, who talks….And before you know it you are included in a major film production. Yes, through the gift of friendship, Holy Innocents Parish is part of a movie. Thanks to our alumnus (Class of ‘63) and film producer, Mike Walsh, we are included in the production of “A Philly Christmas.” It will be released in December and will be a great Christmas movie. We are very proud for the parish to have a role in it. Make sure that you and the family watch it during the season.

We have this Tournament each year in memory of our dear friends, Bobby Ritchie, Abby O’Beirne, Andrew Crawford, and Donald Green. And thank you, friend, for participating in this year’s tournament. Many thanks to Linda Marchese, our Advancement Director and our Golf Committee who have worked very hard to make this a very successful day. And thanks to our many volunteers who have assisted behind the scenes. Your presence AND friendship are greatly appreciated.

Gratefully yours,

Holy Innocents sc Hool 1312 E. Bristol Street Philadelphia, PA 19124 HolyInnocentsSchool.org
