We were able to review the BNX-100 from Lindy last year so we were excited to see what changes they had made with the new 100XT. The first thing we noticed was the design, the XT are all black this time with a minimalist design making them a good-looking pair of cans. The charging port has been upgraded to a USB C connection making it more compatible with the modern-day devices, the battery will last up to 15hours (12hours with ANC activated), not recorded breaking but enough to get you through the working weeks’ commute. The included 3.5mm audio cable means that when the battery runs out you can carry on enjoying the music via a wired connection, the charge status can be viewed with the integrated battery monitor, or on the screen of compatible iOS devices. The 100XT also comes with a 6.3mm Adapter, Dual-plug flight adapter and hard carry case, they connect over Bluetooth 5.0 and deliver a reliable and lag free stream and now feature twin pairing technology. The Auto-Pause Technology means your audio will stop playing as soon as the headphones are removed, and automatically restarts when they are replaced, so you won’t miss out on anything if you need to take a quick break. The Audio-Pass Through mode can let a little of the outside volume in without the need of removing the headset at all, the Hybrid Noise Cancelling uses noise detection microphones both externally and inside the speaker driver. This can be activated to deliver the noise cancellation which reduces the ambient noise up to 95%, this works effectively and drowns out even the deepest tones. However, the ANC also has an impact on the quality of the audio and flattens the sound, without it the sound is sufficient, bass heads might prefer a bit more umph, but the mid and high tones are enjoyable. All things considered the BNX 100XT hits the mark for its price tag, if you already have the 100 we wouldn’t recommend rushing out for an upgrade but if you are after a comfortable pair of entry level wireless headphones with ANC, look no further
