We have had the pleasure of featuring the Lollipop Baby Camera a few times, we love it so much it lives in our little one’s nursery and provides us with both reassurance and giggles seeing what he gets up to when he’s meant to be sleeping. The Smart Air Quality Sensor is a handy accessory that teams up with the baby cam to give you a deeper insight into the nursery environment. It is super easy to add on to the lollipop app, just click on the Camera Settings, select sensor and choose a name for it, then its just a case setting it up in the nursery. The sensor plugs into the mains directly, no dangerous cables, and needs to be 3-4 meters in direct sight of the camera for the best Bluetooth connection. It can get to work on monitoring the temperature, humidity and air quality. If the sensor picks up anything usual it will alert you through the app, you can set the preferred temperature and humidity range, particularly useful during the extreme heat we are experiencing this summer. The air quality sensor is a “VOC sensor” (volatile organic compounds), this can detect the presence of acetone, heptane, and many other metabolic products in human breath, as well as formaldehyde, cooking odours, human bio effluents, outdoor pollutants, paint and lacquers, cleaning supplies, and toxins. The sensor will work with the camera to provide a 30 second clip from your phone when the environment goes below your set standards, this could provide a real peace of mind especially for new parents in those overwhelming first few months. Just like the camera you can check in from anywhere at any time, as well as the instant alerts to changes in the environment the sensor will provide daily / weekly data charts in the app. If you already have a lollipop camera or you are looking to get one the Smart Air Quality Sensor is a no brainer add on, the temperature monitor is especially useful during that new-borns stage letting you check in without risk of waking the baby.
