Featuring the private collection of Vivian Brady-Ashley with a focus on “the little ones” from legendary firms of Alexander and Vogue. Known throughout the collecting world as a connoisseur of dolls by Madame Alexander, few collectors knew that Vivian also held an abiding respect for the Ginny dolls of Jenny Graves known under their trade name of Ginny. The Mid-Century American Doll auction showcases an exceptional collection of several hundred examples from their early years of the firm, most in near mint condition. And, of course, there is Wendy-kins, also from the early years with very rare costume examples.

Other dolls include child and fashionable lady dolls from Alexander as well as other notable firms of the era including Nancy Ann Style Show, Arranbee, and Terri Lee. The dolls are featured in a full color catalog with apt descriptions of each, and offer a wonderful opportunity for collectors who longingly protest “My house is full”, and then add “But I can always fit in another small one or two”. A fun auction with beautiful dolls whose mid-century lineage tokens their production during quality years of American dollmaking. x
