A Heartfelt Legacy In the early 1980’s, a group of dedicated people from across our community came together to secure a broadcasting license for Reno’s own public television station. Fully aware of how such a station could touch the lives of generations of northern Nevadans, this group invested the countless hours and significant funds that made KNPB a reality on September 26, 1983. The leader of this dedicated group was Joan Bradley, who with her husband William provided the vision, leadership, and dedication to see the mission through. Mrs. Bradley served as the founding Chair of the KNPB Board of Trustees. So it is fitting that we have honored the work and the memory of the Bradleys by naming our legacy society in their honor. On May 6 our annual Joan and William Bradley Legacy Society luncheon honors the Bradleys and all those who have included KNPB in their estate plans, including: David & Sharon Quinn, Gloria Cutler Eakin Trust, James Jurschak & Faith Fessenden, Lois & Len Crocker, Gerald M.
