ROUNDHOUSE PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE SOCIETY It has been a busy summer at the Roundhouse. We have enjoyed the addition of such new programs as Wheelchair Floorball (part of our Adult Sports drop-in programming), our first ever community garage sale—Preloved is Reloved, and a range of innovative and inclusive arts programs and events.

We are pleased to announce a range of new and exciting programs for children and youth. Preschoolers can now attend Farsi Club, Nature Club, and Family Yoga on weekends, while Elsie Roy Noon Hour offerings have been expanded to include Discover Electronics and Unique Creations. September also brings the arrival of a full-time youth programmer to the Roundhouse team, who will work to expand existing development- and arts-based programs, with a special focus on at-risk youth. We hope children and caretakers also join us in making fond memories during our annual Halloween Carnival and Holidays at the Roundhouse. Remember to register in advance to reserve a spot as these events sell out every year! In addition to recreation programs and special events, our arts programmers have curated a diverse array of arts festivals, exhibitions, and performances in recent months. One such is the Sustenance Festival, part of a citywide celebration to foster greater inclusion in food, arts, and cultural communities. Other exhibitions and performances to keep an eye out for include State of the Practice— featuring artist Sharon Kallis and her work Local Threads: relearning, reciprocity, reconnection on Salish land and sea—and A World of Rhythm: Trichy Sankaran and Friends in Concert.

A heartfelt thank you, as always, to the Roundhouse staff and volunteer teams for their continued hard work. We look forward to having you, our guests, join us for another season of fun, laugher, and activity. Andrew Dilts President, Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Society
