Attn: An Important Message to All Citizens Living in the Shelter of the Wall The Wall, our greatest achievement, provides security and ensures peace. Its colossal size shelters and unites us. The Wall gives us hope for a prosperous and civilised future by keeping us free from the undesirables who live on the other side of it. Remember that nothing of value or interest is on the other side of the Wall. We share nothing with the people who live there. They are different from us. We are a superior people in every way. Communication with the other side is impossible. They do not understand our language. The people on the other side have no ideas of their own. They claim to have built the Wall, but that is a lie. We built it to protect ourselves from their aggression and ignorance. Any attempt to cross, climb or damage the Wall in any way is considered to be treason. The Wall represents all of us; an attack on the Wall is an attack on all of us. No-one ever has or ever will cross the Wall. Everything that you need or want is on our side. Praise our glorious Wall; it protects and unites us.

Everyone seemed angry. They were forever shouting about the people who lived on the other side.
The boy found a quiet spot and sat down to think about what to do next. But suddenly he saw something he had never seen before.

The mouse scurried off to a tiny hole in the wall just big enough to get through and… disappeared!
The boy ran after the mouse. As he leaned forward to look through the hole, his heart was thumping. What would he see on the other side?
