The course will include an introduction to map projections and coordinate systems; attribute tables, query and analysis, aerial and satellite imagery; using GPS and transferring data to the computer; vector and raster data; spatial mapping; and creating maps and charts. This course will include lab, field and project work. Useful for precision farming, wildlife management, conservation, geography, economics, business, geology, medical, government, social studies, law enforcement, homeland secruity, disaster response, historical mapping and more. GIS is a rapidly growing technology and has multibillion dollar implacations for business and government. Picture of Success Esther Amsberry was born near McGregor in 1915. She attended school in Noonan and graduated from Minot State College. Esther has taught school for 30 years, teaching in the Epping, Wheelock and Ray Schools. Esther enjoyed traveling to several countries including Norway, Russia, Australia & Sweden. Many of Esther's cousins are in Sweden; only three remain in the U.S. Esther also enjoys helping others. She has volunteered at Mercy Hospital AND at our Heritage Center in various areas. She is most notedly appreciated for her assistance with the Birthday/Volunteer of the month project. Each month she makes special placement cards for our Birthday/Volunteer meal.
