How to participate as an absentee buyer

Schedule of Events Saturday, November 6th

We prefer for each of you to be in attendance on sale day. Realistically, we know there will be some scheduling conflicts and distance limitations. In these cases, we have arranged for you to be able to participate in the sale on an absentee basis. If possible, you can come by and evaluate the animals prior to sale day. If distance is a problem, we can also provide you with a DVD of all the cattle for home viewing. All of the lots in the sale will be available for viewing online prior to sale day at www.superiorlivestock.com as well. Customers tell us that the video does a good job of showing conformation, structural correctness, and how the cattle travel, etc. Our sale book, with complete data on each animal, is very helpful. Last year we had the opportunity to buy Boss Beauty 84M. We knew when we bought her we were getting half-interest in a very productive female. What we didn’t know was how consistent she was with every calf, and how she was capable of passing on so much power and substance into such neat packages. Last year alone, this cow produced over $250,000 in just three head. Whether it is a bull or heifer, her calves seem to rise to the top. Needless to say, we are very excited to be offering you these daughters of 84M.

PB Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Scurred • DOB: 3.12.10 Sire: GVC Statesman (DCC The Man X GVC Jazzmyn) Dam: Boss Beauty 84M (Alliance X Iceman) Owned with Barry Nowatzke This one is an absolute freak on a leash. Unbelievable head, neck, and shoulder design on such a big hipped, big boned, powerful female. This one is ready to show today, and you can bet no judge will forget the style and presence this female brings to the ring.

5

These Statesman females are very similar in type and kind. All of them possess a great look with plenty of power and rib shape. Best of all, they are extremely sound and look to be very tough in the show ring. More importantly, they look to carry on their mother’s name in the pasture and for you.

Truly a great opportunity. We purchased three eggs from Barry out of the great 36R cow and got these two females. In her short life 36R has already produced two heifers commanding $97,000 and $92,000, both through Hartman’s sale. Those two females were shown to numerous championships, and one was named Maine- Anjou Show Heifer of the Year for 2008. 2a has been a favorite of many early visitors at the ranch. She is huge boned, big footed, and very powerful. She is awesome out of her hip and still ties together an attractive, easy moving package. 2b is the younger sister that is coming on strong. She is an extremely angular and feminine female that just continues to get better every day. We are just as excited as you are to see which one of these females rises to the top on sale day.

Everyone knows just how impressive Irish Whiskey daughters are in production, and this PHA-Free daughter is no exception. Erica 5T was very successful in the show ring for Taylor Hett and was champion MaineTainer at the Colorado State Fair in 2008. Every judge admired her power and rib shape and raved about how this heifer would turn into a great cow. On her first flush, Mercedes Benz was the choice to bring a little style and hair to the equation, and these two knocked it out of the park. These three sisters are so impressive, in terms of body depth and that swooping rib shape we are all looking for. They combine so many of the right attributes to be successful, not only in the show ring but also in the pasture. Be sure to check out their flush mate brother on sale day. He will make these three sisters even more valuable.

BBR Milky Way 1090X 1/4 Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 4.2.10 Sire: Monopoly (Heat Wave X Century Touchstone Angus) Dam: BBR Milky Way (Ali X Full Flush)

These two Lot 4 heifers may be the ones we are most proud of here at BBR. Their mother, BBR Milky Way, was purchased in our very first sale by Morgan Burke. She had a very successful show career with numerous championships, including Supreme Female Over-All-Breeds of the 2008 Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic. Luckily we kept a flush in this outstanding young donor from the Burke, Wiese, and Snell program. 4a has been admired by so many early visitors. She is the type of MaineTainer female that is winning today. Ultra cool through her shoulder and neck, really big hipped, and super shaggy. This one is going to be fun to show.

4a BBR Milky Way 1089X 3/4 Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Scurred • DOB: 3.14.10 Sire: Sooner (DMCC Limited Edition X Pannell Miss 015) Dam: BBR Milky Way (Ali X Full Flush)

We decided it would be best to split two flushes on Milky Way, so we decided to make high-percentage Maines with Sooner, and we are glad we did. 4b is super stout and huge bellied for a young high-percentage female. She is still really correct in her type and is really good haired. Jump on board the Milky Way train with these two impressive sisters.

6

This great donor has done it again. This time with Boomer. KRLK Elana was Champion Maine Female at AkSarBen in 2006, and is the mother of Houdini, the calving ease specialist for Beauprez Land and Cattle. Mark thought this Boomer heifer may be one of her best yet, and we are excited to offer her. This heifer is very complete from end to end. She is fault-free in her design and structure and looks to be an excellent bred female for next fall’s shows.

KRLK Elana 111R Dam of Lot 6.

11

A really impressive female from Beauprez Land and Cattle. When I first saw this female, I knew we had to have her for this sale. This heifer is extremely feminine featured, great in her lines, and has that perfect swooping rib shape. This one is all female. Get on board!

BBR Kashmir 1088X 3/4 Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 2.7.10 Sire: Sooner (DMCC Limited Edition X Pannell Miss 015) Dam: WCC Kashmir (DCC Top Cut X GFCC Kashmir 28G)

These two Sooner daughters are like two peas in a pod and are definitely a must-see. They are really big bodied, sound moving, fault-free individuals that look to be very versatile in any breeding program. With Sooner semen being harder and harder to come by, these direct daughters will be harder to find at public auctions, so take advantage.

7c

When you want to talk about some serious earning potential, look at this Man daughter. She has that wonderful rib shape, perfect legged, and just has that look of longevity. This one could definitely be in the front pasture someday, and as good as Sooner works on the Energizer bloodlines, this one could be the ticket to some big payouts.

BBR Kashmir 1085X 3/4 Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 3.1.10 Sire: TNAT Parker (Fear This X Baxter Black) Dam: WCC Kashmir (DCC Top Cut X GFCC Kashmir 28G) 7d is Kashmir’s natural calf. We wanted to try a high-percentage Maine that she had not been used with before, and Parker was the choice. Once again, this donor came through with another really functional, easy keeping female. She was a touch greener at picture time because we have continued to flush her mother, but check her out sale day. If she is anything like her sisters, she will be a wise investment.

If you want to lock into a cow family with a lot of earning potential in their futures, look no further than these four Kashmir daughters. 8 t o L

We purchased JDJ Ms Natalia from Jason Spotanski about three years ago as an open heifer off of Tim Burke’s sale. Even as a calf, this female had donor written all over her. For a purebred Maine, she has an unbelievable amount of rib shape and power and the type of back leg you wish you could put in all of them. To add a shot of hair and style, we chose Franchise and got these three beautiful daughters. 8a definitely has a show ring presence. She ties in perfectly through shoulder and front end and looks like she could be a force to be reckoned with next fall. The b lot is very similar in type and kind. She is the type that the more you study her, the harder it is to pick any sort of hole in her. The c lot is the most moderate off the three sisters and is definitely the cow of the bunch. Choose which one of these sisters fits you program the best, you will be happy with the outcome.

BBR Princess 1081X PB Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Horned • DOB: 2.27.10 Sire: Sooner (DMCC Limited Edition X Pannell Miss 015) Dam: NCC Princess 502 (Doctor Who X CSY Sally Sue) Last year this same mating produced a heifer that was division champion in the bred and owned show at the Junior National show this summer in Spencer, Iowa. This female looks to have the same potential. She is big boned, big hipped, and really shaggy. If you like females you can take home and watch develop into great cows, check this one out.

9a BBR Princess 1080X PB Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Horned • DOB: 2.28.10 Sire: Sooner (DMCC Limited Edition X Pannell Miss 015) Dam: NCC Princess 502 (Doctor Who X CSY Sally Sue) This Doctor Who cow and Sooner just click together. Last year Ben Cooley selected a heifer from this same mating that you will definitely hear from once she hits the donor pen. Sooner does so many good things for these high-percentage Maine cattle, as far as rib shape, power, and flexibility. This direct daughter carries all of those features. This one continues to improve daily and will be one to look up on sale day.

BBR Sharpie 1079X 5/8 Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 3.7.10 Sire: Sooner (DMCC Limited Edition X Pannell Miss 015) Dam: GCC Sharpie 17/4 - Sharpie (WD X Meyer X Cunia) X GCC UC Angus Wow! Truly a one of a kind MaineTainer female. A direct daughter of the one-and-only Sooner, and Witch Doctor, Meyer, and Cunia all on the bottom side. Plus, she is a baldy to boot. Many called her mother one of the best cows to ever come out of the Exposure sale, and now she is proving her worth. Lot 10 may be the one we regret offering for sale, but our loss is your gain. This is the type of female you can build entire programs around and put in the front pasture for everyone to see.

BOE Immortal 3X 1/4 Maine • TH-Carrier/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 3.18.10 Sire: Immortal (Heat Wave X Big Momma 23) Dam: 702T (Dr. Who X JDS Stout) Consigned by Beauprez Land & Cattle

11

Another special lot from Beauprez Land and Cattle. These MaineTainers with a shot of clubby are definitely the type of females that are winning these days. This impressive daughter of the up-and-coming Immortal has all the pieces to run with the best. She is ultra cool necked, super smooth through her shoulder, and has plenty of power and shag.

HNSN Shantelle 1X 1/4 Maine • TH-Carrier/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 4.3.10 Sire: Monopoly (Heat Wave X Century Touchstone Angus) Dam: BBR Miss Star (CMAC Hard Core X Angus) Consigned by Shay Hansen

12 16

An absolute ground shaker. This big boned, belly draggin, hairy beast has been a standout since birth. She has all the pieces to be a great show heifer and to be an even better club calf mamma. Her mother was purchased out of our first sale, and her mating to Monopoly is her best to date. Only because Shay needs some extra cash for college next year is this female being offered. Take advantage.

13

BBBN Pebbles 1078X PB Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Horned • DOB: 4.1.10 Sire: HAA Wisdom (Sooner X FJH Countess 400K) Dam: BOE Pebbles 911R (DVMM Jazz X BOE 736G) Owned with Barry Nowatzke

Another big-time pedigree on a big-time female. The mother of this female is a past Denver champion, and she is sired by the up-and-coming Sooner son, Wisdom. Unfortunately we didn't get this female in until after pictures but don't hold that against her. She is a long bodied, extended individual that is super sound and all female. Be sure to check out her video, along with all the other heifers selling on our website mid-October.

BBR Jolt 1077X 1/2 Maine • TH/PHA-Free Polled • DOB: 4.10.10 Sire: Dirty Hairy (Cowan’s Ali 4M X CEF Naughty Business) Dam: MCF Miss Jolt (EM Jolt 795 X Unregistered) This young cow has done it again with another beautifully constructed individual with loads of potential and future. This young April heifer is a maternal sister to the Reserve Champion Maine-Anjou Female from the 2010 Junior Nationals and also just claimed champion AOB honors at the Kentucky State Fair. This special individual has been shown by the Tolle family, and we want to commend them on a very successful year. Check this one out sale day.

Maternal Sister to Lot 14.

BBR Xena 1076X 3/4 Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 3.2.10 Sire: Maverick (Sooner X Black Smoker) Dam: BBR Miss 656S (RRRC Direct Power X Unregistered)

15

A really long fronted, smooth shouldered, sound made individual that just continues to get better every day. If these Mavericks are anything like Sooners, this one could be one to watch for by sale time.

BBR Xtra Sweet 1075X 3/4 Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 4.1.10 Sire: TNAT Parker (Fear This X Baxter Black) Dam: MCF Miss Rhino (MCF Rhina 116L X MCF Miss Cub X30F) Another super complete, fault free individual. You have to appreciate how much body and substance this heifer brings to the table, while still having such a perfect head neck and shoulder design.

16 BOE Natasha 4X PB Maine • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 2.17.10 Sire: Maverick (Sooner X GVC Samantha 591R) Dam: BOE Miss Natasha (Habanero X 4J WD 40) Consigned by Beauprez Land & Cattle

17

Another long bodied, extended, fault free individual. Take this one home, give her a little feed and some TLC, and she may be the sleeper of the bunch.

18

Simmentals

RAKC Miss In Dew Time PB Simmental • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 2.11.10 Sire: HTP SVF In Dew Time (CNS Dream On X HTP SVF Honeydew) Dam: BDK Miss Invasion (Triple C Invasion X BDK Miss Gold Sky) Consigned by Brian Fox & Matt Jameson

18 BBRS Dreamer 1074X PB Simmental • TH/PHA-Free • Polled • DOB: 3.5.10 Sire: 4E Rolls Royce U22 (Big Country X KNH Natasha 34N) Dam: MJ Miss Dreamer U815 (Dream On X Preferred Beef)

19

We don't claim to know everything about these Simmentals, but I think we have two very impressive females to offer. Dreamer has purple in her pedigree. We purchased her mother as a bred heifer off of the North Dakota state sale this past year. She had been shown to 10 supreme female championships by our good friends, the Hennessey family. This Rolls Royce bull has been used heavily in North Dakota, and we now know why. This impressive female came small and has done nothing but get better every day of her life. She really impresses you in terms of depth of body and power in a moderate, fault-free package.

MJ Miss Dreamer U815 Dam of Lot 19.

19

When I first saw this female, I knew we just had to get our hands on her. She is a really powerful, huge bodied female that has a perfect set to her hock and back leg. On top of that, she is one of the smoothest shouldered, most feminine purebred females I have been around. This Simmy deal is red hot, and this special individual is ready to run with the best of them.

Club Calves BBR Xtra Good 1073X Chianina • Polled • DOB: 3.9.10 Sire: Monopoly (Heat Wave X Century Touchstone Angus) Dam: BBR 0537 (Who Made Who X Angus) This one is big-time good. This young Monopoly daughter is really big hipped and as stout as a female needs to be. With all the bone and power this female has, she still impresses you in terms of a beautiful front end and plenty of rib shape. Many early visitors question whether this female will go market heifer or breeding heifer. Whatever show ring you decide to take this shaggy female to, she is going to be successful.

20 BBR Xtra Red 1072X Chianina • Polled • DOB: 2.20.10 Sire: Monopoly (Heat Wave X Century Touchstone Angus) Dam: Miss Blue (Shorthorn X Maine) This wonderful red female is going to be a really good steer momma. She is a really big bodied, sound moving, shaggy female that is very straight in her lines. She should be in her new owner’s herd for many years to come.

21 BBR Xtra Nice 1071X Chianina • Polled • DOB: 4.7.10 Sire: Monopoly (Heat Wave X Century Touchstone Angus) Dam: BBR 0679 (Maine X Angus) A really nice young April heifer. We just used a cane of Monopoly semen last year, and we did not get a throw away calf out of all of them. This youngster has got plenty of attention all summer. She is really good necked and big hipped. I really like how these Monopoly females are big hipped, yet fairly flat in their design.

Fox Milk Maid 1X Chianina • Polled • DOB: 5.1.10 Sire: Friction (Full Flush X Meyer 734) Dam: Milk Maid (Heat Wave X Went Charolais) Consigned by Brian Fox & Fox Show Stock

Milk Maid Dam of Lot 23.

We bought Milkmaid 3 years ago as an open heifer off of Tim Burke’s sale. She is a full sib to the very successful smoky bull, Milk Man. Her mating to Friction is her best to date. This young black heifer was still a touch green at picture time, but she continues to improve daily. She is extremely cool fronted and super sound. On top of that, she is really good haired for a Friction. These Friction females are pretty sought-after in the club calf world, and this young may heifer will make money.

BBR Snowflake 1070X Scurred • DOB: 3.2.10 Sire: Carpe Diem (Tank X Timex) • Dam: BBR 0749 (Alias X Angus)

24 BBR Xtra Smooth 1069X Horned • DOB: 4.5.10 Sire: Smoth Sailing (HW X Miss Perfection) Dam: Burke 065 (Meyer 734 X Angus) We traded some eggs with Burke and got this Smooth Sailing heifer out of a really good Meyer donor of his. She is big hipped and powerful with plenty of shag. This one should be fun as a market heifer and then a future club calf momma.

This white baldy female gets her name because we couldn't hardly find her in the snow when she calved. My wife Paula started calling her Snowflake, and the name just stuck. This future club calf momma has all the pieces to raise a great one someday. She is moderate in her design and really functional looking. She will be a great candidate for all the Heat Wave sons when she grows up and moves to the front pasture.

Cody 7 Dam of Lot 26.

We bought some pregnant recips from long time friend, Bill Cody. We were looking to get some big-time steers. Instead we ended up with these killer females, and as good as they are, we are sure glad we did. These sisters are fun to have around the place. They are all a little bit different, but all have tons of potential. They have an awesome cow behind them in Cody 7. In the past two years, she has produced over $150,000 in progeny and shows no sign of slowing down. With this maternal gem in their pedigree, there are plenty of success stories to come from these sisters.

BBR Milk Lady 1068X Polled • DOB: 2.22.10 Sire: Milkman (Heat Wave X Went Char.) Dam: Cody 7 (Full Flush X Meyer 734) Wow! This is an absolute ground sow. This female’s picture says it all. She is an absolute great donor in the making. She is long fronted, big bellied, and super powerful from nose to tail. On top of that, she is big boned and puts that big foot down where she is supposed to. When you want to talk about raising great steers and earning potential, this is the one. Take this one home, and watch the dollars start rolling in.

26a BBR Milk Lady 1067X Polled • DOB: 3.14.10 Sire: Milkman (Heat Wave X Went Char.) Dam: Cody 7 (Full Flush X Meyer 734)

26b is the other smoky sister. She is a really big boned and very powerfully constructed individual that will be fun to show and fun to mate.

BBR Milk Lady 1067X Polled • DOB: 3.14.10 Sire: Milkman (Heat Wave X Went Char.) Dam: Cody 7 (Full Flush X Meyer 734) 26c is the black and white market heifer of the bunch. She is really stout and moderate in her design. She could be the type for state fair or Aksarben next fall.

26c BBR 1065X Polled • DOB: 3.12.10 Sire: Milkman (Heat Wave X Went Char.) Dam: Cody 7 (Full Flush X Meyer 734)

26d is a little bit bigger, more extended sister. This black and white female is very practical in her design and should have a long career in her new herd.

26d

BBR Milk Lady 1064X Horned • DOB: 3.1.10 Sire: Milkman (Heat Wave X Went Char.) Dam: Cody 602 (Full Flush X Sullivan 602)

A granddaughter of the legendary Sullivan 602 donor. Little needs to be said about this unparalleled cow family. Lot 27 is your opportunity to own a piece of this dominant cow family. Rarely will you see these females offered in public auction, but here is your chance. A smoky granddaughter of the famed 602 cow. Can you afford to pass on this one?
