HUSTON 182 Sire: POINT TAKEN Dam: Draft Pick x Angus DOB: March 12, 2009 The Point Taken cattle have exceeded my expectations. We were able to market 22 of the 28 Point Taken calves for added value and have the best one still held back to sell as a bred heifer this fall. This bull will compliment any breeding program no matter what type of cattle you are trying to raise.

Welcome,

Welcome

Tina & I would like to invite everyone to our 2nd Annual Bull & Female Sale. The comments, which we have received from our 2009 customers have been nothing short of flattering.

4

Moving forward, the 2010 cattle look great considering the extreme weather conditions and mud we have endured the past 5 months. The bulls will be semen tested, PI BVD tested and tested for TH and PHA carriers. All the yearling bulls are halter broke, have great dispositions and are in excellent breeding condition. New in 2010 will be the addition of valuable semen and the five donor prospects. These five heifers are a representation of what to expect this coming fall. These Simmy x Maine x Angus females are incredible. Hope to see you May 8th. MIKE & TINA HUSTON RYLEY - 6 1/2, CARMYN - 4, NICHOLAS - 2 1/2

HUSTON 183 Sire: POINT TAKEN Dam: C339U x Angus DOB: April 11, 2009 Here is one furry little creature. This bull is young but very easy to appreciate in terms of structure. As you can see, he is very level spined which carries down through his hip. He is also one of the soundest bulls in the offering.

Take note, if you don’t mind a good red one! This bull is probably the biggest boned in the sale and will add pounds to his calf crop, which means dollars in your pocket. HCC 2ND ANNUAL BULL & FEMALE SALE

HCC & WEISINGER 5 Sire: HEAT SEEKER Dam: Extreme Justice Angus DOB: March 11, 2009 ATTENTION ALL CLUB CALF PRODUCERS! Grant, Nathan & I are selling what we think could be a great one. I know a lot of people use that term loosely anymore but I really do believe this calf will make its mark in the club calf business. I guess what I like the best about him is the fact his dam is not all jacked up pedigree wise. COME TO THE AUCTION BOYS!

HUSTON 195 Sire: MEYER 734 Dam: MCATL Miss Traveler 73S (6807) DOB: March 2009 I don’t think the Musgrave Family needs any introduction in the cattle industry. These valuable genetics found in LOTS 5-9, are what lead us to purchase 15 full sibs from TCC of Pittsfield, IL. Dad & I bought 10 heifers and 5 bulls. These bulls, used in the correct environment, will leave behind some awful good replacement heifers.

10 HUSTON 176 Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Dateline Angus 205 DOB: October 20, 2008 Here it is, the BEST After Shock calf we have ever had. This bull has been admired by everyone who comes through here, not because he is bigger than the rest, but because he is better. I think he has the ability to out sire his father in terms of softness and depth of flank. We would like to keep FALL POSSESSION!

This bull is built for longevity, big middled, good jointed and good chested. Commercial people who have never experimented with Meyer 734 genetics, get on board.

Sire: AFTER SHOCK Dam: Cheap Trick x Angus DOB: March 27, 2009

I realize he is extremely young but I don’t think this will be the only year you’ll want to use him. This is one of my favorite bulls. Good baldy bulls bred like this are hard to find.

Another cool baldy bull who is bred very maternally.

15 HUSTON 190 Sire: BLACK LABEL Dam: Cheap Trick x Angus DOB: March 20, 2009 As many of you know, we switched gears a couple years ago, and bred a handful of cows to a few maine bulls. The Black Label cattle really clicked for us. Our heifers averaged over $4000 in the November 2009 Sale. These two bulls may be just as good or better than they were??!

18 HUSTON 90 Sire: MIDAS Dam: Golddigger DOB: March 20, 2009 The crew at Trans Ova thought I was crazy when we flushed Golddigger this way many years ago – but I thought MIDAS was simply one of the best bulls of any breed in Denver that year. Chad Holtkamp & Dale Schlipf must have thought along the same lines – they bought full sib bred heifers to this bull in 2005! A good Hereford backed by one of the best cows in her day!!!

Houston’s

TIERNEY & HUSTON SHOW STEERS

I just wanted to say thank you to John & Amelia Tierney for their support of our program. John & Amelia purchased 25 bred heifers from us in 2006. John is a conductor for Burlington Northern Railroad and thought fall calvers would be the best scenario in terms of running cows. Well, I guess whatever John is doing he must be doing correctly. These three calves were all raised by Tierney Show Steers of Monmouth, IL.

LOTS 35-37 are the full sibs to the Meyer 734 heifer that Michael Melvin is successfully campaigning. Here is a golden opportunity to add some very valuable genetics to the gene pool.

Nothing like cataloging perhaps the best animal last. This heifer is flat awesome! Her Dam is sired by a old bull we called Bullwhip (by Whiplash) who we bought from Bill Willers, Mitten Brand Ranch of Norfolk, NE. If that isn’t enough, how about the fact she is sired by Duff’s New Look 101. We are retaining the right to 8 transferable embryos.
