CRAFTSMANSHIP
Our commitment to quality extends from concept to execution and can be observed at all levels of the design and manufacturing process. All of our upholstered goods are handmade in our London workshop by skilled craftsmen using kiln dried hardwood timbers. Our top quality, solid beech wood frames are guaranteed for 15 years for lasting assurance. All of the framing materials used by the Sofa and Chair Company are sustainably sourced from European forests and have minimal environmental impact. We pride ourselves on having the largest fabric library in London, as well as an extensive range of quality leathers for upholstering. Our padding materials are made from premium quality feather, down and the thickest Dacron foam to retain volume and shape. Clients are able to fully customise their furniture; from selecting a specific fabric to choosing the right timber. We take pleasure in personalising the buying experience and creating the furniture pieces our clients envision.

Showroom Situated above our workshop is our prestigious West London showroom, featuring an array of quality pieces from the Sofa and Chair Company’s iconic collection. The showroom provides our clients with the opportunity to experience our products first-hand; with sales stock, a luxury fabric gallery and selection of furnishings on display for perusal. Every item displayed in our showroom is available for purchase and delivery can be arranged by our team of professionals. Our friendly and informative sales executives are on hand at all times to assist clients.

COLLECTION
The Sofa and Chair Company’s signature collection features an array of luxury sofa ranges, designer furniture and homeware. Each item has been designed by our innovative team of in-house designers and handcrafted in our West London workshop. All furniture pieces are available for upholstering in a large variety of fine fabrics and leather. All of the designs in our collection are available as presented or can be tailored to suit our clients’ specific requirements. From headboards to bar stools; we stock hundreds of pieces in various styles to meet all residential and commercial needs.

INFABRIC STOCK
Each season, following extensive analysis, our team of experts selects the 20 best fabrics to lead our collections with and produce stock items. These include silks, velvets, linens and wools; all sourced from the world’s top luxury textile houses. All of these are purchased in bulk to reduce production expenses and maintain maximum buying power; enabling us to consistently produce the highest quality items. In turn, this enables our customers to experience the benefits of luxury fabrics on all pieces in our in stock range. All stock pieces are available for immediate dispatch and are ideal for designers seeking last minute items for their projects.

BESPOKE
As the UK’s leading bespoke furniture company we are able to provide an exclusive, tailored service to our customers. Starting from an initial consultation; we are able to take any requirement, sketch or concept to customise our current collection or even create new ones from scratch. For many aspiring interior designers, this luxury service is a dream come true. We aim to take the entire process from concept to completion in 6 weeks. All of our designers can provide CAD technical drawings to confirm the clients’ specifications; with property access checks and measurement services regularly carried out to ensure bespoke pieces are made to measure.

Fenton
Contemporary design meets 1920s elegance with Fenton; a unique armchair designed to work in harmony with other S&C models or stand alone as an iconic centrepiece. Fenton’s designer took inspiration from art deco style and conveyed this through the chair’s bold geometric shapes and symmetrical detail. The Fenton chair’s fluted back, arms and base are filled with a generous amount of Dacron, feather and down for superior levels of comfort. Fenton has received international acclaim, having been nominated for an International Product Design Award in 2013 and been featured in Aston Martin Magazine.

pulled stich effect of the backrest to the double piped finish of the sides, provides a visual treat that is sure to elevate any room. Alexander is completed with an indulgent layer of padding made from Dacron and foam-wrapped feather and down. The Alexander range is the star of our 2013 Autumn-Winter campaign.

Stanley is a stylish statement piece that fuses modern chic with classic sophistication. With its soft sweeping form and elegant features, Stanley serves as an ideal conversation piece; perfectly suited to an airy open living space or as an attractive addition to the bedroom. As versatile as it is timeless, Stanley is available as either a single chair or in sofa form with an elegant, plush oval ottoman to accompany it. The Stanley range also features a deluxe bed, armchair and stool; all of which can be upholstered in a range of colours and fabrics.

PRIVATE MEMBERS CLUB A luxury private member’s club in central London commissioned us to produce an indulgent range of upholstered furniture for their lounge area. Set in a highly exclusive location, the utmost discretion was required for this extensive project.

DORSET LIVING We were proud to supply the furnishings and homeware for a prestigious private residence in Dorset; creating an ambience of fine dining in opulent surroundings. Our client selected the sophisticated Pollock range with extra scattered cushions as the main seating elements. A large Horizon coffee table took centre stage in the room, framed with a pair of silver velvet Orwell chairs. For the dining area the designer chose the Frances dining chair with bespoke nickel studding detail. Chic Lowery bar stools were added around the kitchen island to complete the project.

GODIVA HARRODS For the Godiva project we designed and crafted a selection of upholstered seating solutions, including banquette seating and stools. Working closely with their architect we were able to measure, draw up and install the pieces in less than 2 weeks.

DEEP BUTTONING (term) noun. the insertion of upholstery buttons where the button is pulled into the cover deeply and forms a pleated diamond. The Sofa and Chair Company utilises both traditional and contemporary methods to apply buttoning to our pieces.

PULLED EFFECT WITH SEAMING (term) noun. A form of deep buttoning where the buttons are intercepted with crisscrossing seams.
PULLED BUTTONING (term) noun. A form of buttoning where the buttons are pulled in slightly so as to form indentations.
PULLED BUTTONING WITH SEAMING (term) noun. A form of pulled buttoning where the buttons are intercepted with crisscrossing seams.

SINGLE TOP STITCH (term) noun. An upholstery effect created by sewing a single row of stitching close to the seam or edge of a piece on the outer side of the fabric.
DOUBLE TOP STITCHED (term) noun. An upholstery effect created by sewing a double row of stitching close to the seam or edge of a piece on the outer side of the fabric.
