circulating the campus of the University at Buffalo (UB) three times a week. Students have come to love the SUNY system’s largest student-run newspaper and look forward to reading its coverage every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Not only does The Spectrum provide undergraduate and graduate students alike a reliable news source, but it also gives over 100 students the opportunity to gain real journalism experience. As national print media continues to grow outdated, print media on college campuses continues to thrive. Distribution: A Far-Reaching Publication The Spectrum prints 7,000 copies every issue, with each copy changing hands 2-3 times. Just about 20,000 undergraduate students attend UB, most of which attend classes on two of our three campuses. Along with delivering on our North and South campuses, The Spectrum also delivers locally to over 25 businesses spanning the city of Buffalo. Furthermore, The Spectrum staff members do paper pass outs three days a week across North Campus in high volume areas such as the Student Union and our largest library.

Ads are selected randomly at the time when the page is first viewed. Total views for your ad will vary based on the number of available positions and number of advertisers running with a specific size for that week.

Ads are due the previous Wednesday by noon. Please submit them to spectrum@buffalo.edu. We currently support JPEG, GIF, PNG and Flash advertisements of less than 100kb.

Web advertisements run from Monday at noon to the following Monday at noon on www. ubspectrum.com.
Policies and Guidelines PAYMENT & CREDIT POLICIES The Spectrum gladly accepts most credit cards, money orders and cash for payment. Returned checks will incur a $20 fee.
BILLING & NEW ACCOUNTS: v Pre-payment is required on all new or specially designated accounts until credit is established. v Invoices are mailed out on a daily basis for print, monthly for online advertising. Full payment of an invoice is expected within 30 days of the invoice billing date. v A charge of 1.5% per month will be added to outstanding accounts. v Advertisements will not be accepted from any advertiser whose account is 45 days or more past due. v There is a 5% pre-payment discount available. This does not apply to new, special or web accounts.
COPY GUIDELINES The Spectrum is not responsible for incorrect copy submitted by the advertiser, or any errors which do not lessen the value of an advertisement. Billing adjustments will be made by the Business Manager based on how much the error detracts from the effectiveness of the advertising message. The Spectrum’s liability for an error shall be limited to that portion of the advertisement effected by the error. Such an error will not be considered unless the Business Manager is notified of the error before the next insertion of an advertisement. In the event of non-publication of copy furnished by an advertiser, The Spectrum will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred. The Spectrum reserves the right to refuse any advertising that is believed to be false, or in poor taste. The Spectrum reserves the right to edit any advertising. All advertising is subject to the approval by The Spectrum management (including classifieds).
