The linchpin to new and less-traveled roads is a guide. To finish off and complete a maze, a labyrinth, or a puzzle - a roadmap, a pattern, or a clue-guide formulated by a maven or anyone who has experienced the journey is the key to smooth sailing. They may provide many guides but keep-in-mind perhaps "not all" as they still want you to challenge yourself and fulfill the handy phrase: "it's still for you to find out." It may sound insipid or cliche, but penultimately, their main thrust focuses on "no one is left behind" in this voyage. Portions of this Student Survival Guide are actual and online services offered by The Student Affairs amid Pandemic. These are services that deals with the holistic development of students; student's life; student success; culture of discipline and security; physical health and safety; and mental wellness to include guidance and counseling services for students as we keep abreast with the belief that "every student is a success" against the demand of Academics. We fervently hope you maximize and capitalize this second edition of Student Survival Guide, which is proactively initiated by the men and women of Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy - The Stellar, who hold the helm as little captains-of-the-ships. Soon, it will be your turn in helping out your subordinates controlling the steering lever and wheel-for-the-ship's rudder for them to finish the quest to success. Again, The Stellar's Student Survival Guide is definitely a guiding Lasallian star. A very intelligent move from and by the DMQCP - The Stellar surely shall leave a legacy on the college and the Institution in helping out the last, the lost, and the least. Maraming Salamat po, and Animo La Salle!

Hi demigods! If you are reading this, then you must have been chosen by the gods! Welcome to the Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy! Welcome to your new camp, sanctuary, and home. I have been eagerly waiting for your arrival since your prophesied call to adventure. I am very much grateful to The Stellar for continuing their service in guiding and supporting our young demigods through the "Delphi Retrograde: The College of Pharmacy Student Survival Guide" which aims to be every pharmacy student's companion in their quest to become a Lasallian pharmacist. My child, this I say to thee, embarking on a new quest can be exciting, overwhelming, and at times confusing. But don't worry, trust that you will never be alone in this journey, and we are here to help you navigate and establish yourself in your first year. Let this year's Delphi be your source of information and insights that will keep you alive in your training. This guide includes tips on effectively learning the ropes of each course, valuable academic and non-academic tools that will serve as your weapons and armory, maps of institutional and collegiate services, and profiles of your mentors and allies who will aid you along the way. Your quest to become the next Lasallian pharmacist requires great exertion on your end. You must overcome the challenging adventures of distance learning, sleepless nights, deadlines, and potentially perilous synchronous and asynchronous activities. I hope you'll prepare well for the battles ahead of you. I trust that in the process you will learn the skills of your lineage - dispensing and ensuring medication safety- and discover your gifts of scientific and mathematical aptitude, foresight, and effective communication. The decisions that you will make in the courses you take, the organizations you join, the circle of friends you trust, ultimately, who you choose to be - are yours. In the end, I only wish that you would be worthy to swear your oath as a pharmacist and redeem the Bowl of Hygeia, the most widely recognized symbol for our profession. I am excited to see how your journey unfolds and with that, I bestow you, my blessing. III

I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to T he Stellar for coming up with the second version of Delphi, the CP Student Survival Guide. For the past academic year, this guide has played a very significant role in the lives of our freshmen students as they cope with the academic demands in the College. To our freshmen students, welcome to the Dr. Mariano Que College of Pharmacy! As you begin your journey, keep in mind that the course is undeniably hard, and there will be numerous obstacles and challenges that you need to overcome to attain that prestigious 3 letters (RPh) at the end of your names. With the current pandemic and new normal education set-up along with the adjustments you must deal with, transitioning from basic education to college, I may say that things will never be easy. Hence, allow me to share with you two important concepts that may be instrumental in your road to success: growth mindset and grit. By having a growth mindset, believe that your success in school or in anything that you do can be influenced by how you think about your talents and abilities. Keep in mind that success is about stretching yourself, and your abilities can be developed and are not fixed. Lastly, through grit, I hope you will be able to hold on to your goals and dreams no matter what the limitations are. You may fail several times, but you will bounce back more determinedly. Always believe in the power of passion and perseverance in achieving your aspirations. As you take on your first steps towards the completion of the program, may this handbook become your valuable companion to assist you to better prepare for your subjects/courses, give you insights into the demands and expectations of the courses and the faculty members, and most importantly, help you know more the administrators, teaching personnel, and support staff who will be serving as your 2nd parents in this journey. Once again, welcome and good luck to everyone! We are very much grateful for having all of you in our Pharmily for this Academic Year 2021-2022. We wish you a fruitful and memorable academic year ahead. IV

It has been a very long and bumpy RIDE for everyone as our face-to-face classes shifted into home-based learning in this "new normal" era. The challenge of adapting to the changes that this era has brought almost drained the battle agility that most of us possess. We can't help but look back and reminisce about the times when we can hug one another during the hard and celebratory moments. It was arduous, but we have endured because we can easily gather inspiration by looking at the people around us - our friends, family, classmates, batchmates, professors, and many more. Now that you are about to enter the De La Salle Medical Sciences Institute (DLSMHSI) Dr. Mariano Que (DMQ) College of Pharmacy, you might be feeling some college jitters, you might have heard the stories of the senior demigods who have experienced the harsh trails that the camp offers. Indeed, the college camp is challenging. The path that is waiting ahead of us is very rough and long. But worry not, because your senior scribes prepared the gift that the camp and the gods have given us - the very treasured Delphi. This is the gift that is prepared for you, that it might be helpful for your journey in the House of Hygeia. The Student survival guide is now back, the senior scribes have modified this treasure to fit this new normal and came up with another version of this gift - The Delphi: Retrograde. The word "retrograde" in this version of Delphi, our college student survival guide, represents two things. First is the act of going back in time and reminiscing the "Old Olympus," looking back on how we all used to move around our old camps, chit-chatting with our tribemates, enjoying the food in the cafeteria, and of course, listening to the battle tricks that the gods have prepared, the lessons we have to learn and bring along the journey until we officially become one of them, holding the "RPh" title. Second, is the act of embracing these retrograde norms, the things that occurred in the opposite and different direction of the ones that used to be the "normal". The Delphi: Retrograde version is here to illuminate the path of this dark blinding field and help us survive this new learning modality system. Fear not! The journey that awaits you might be harsh and scary, but you are not alone. Receive this gift and take it with all of your heart throughout your college journey. We are always at your service. May the most powerful God bless you and be with you. K□A.17 TUXrJ! (kali tychi) Good luck! V
