Greetings!
As we transition out of summer and into another fall, we see the results of a years’ hard work. Calves are sorted, analyzed, and prepped for sale offerings. This fall, JMF will be marketing our females through our First Annual Fall Female Sale. We will be offering a group of open heifer calves along with a few hand picked bred heifers. It is hard for us to let these future cow prospects go, but it pleases us to be able to offer such a set to you. There are opportunities in this set of cattle to add fresh genetics and/or proven productive time-tested cow families. The Hickok x Cowman influence in this group is reliable, predictable, and profitable.
Our focus is to breed these females to be sound footed (we won’t trim feet!), loose hided, low mainte nance cattle that are calf-raising fools! We expect our cows to do their job. That means to calve and get up right away, lick the calf, and nudge the calf to get it to nurse. She must be aggressive while she does this, but will allow us to handle the calf in any way needed.
Above that, she needs to bring in a marketable product alongside her in the fall. They need to be able to raise herd bulls, replacement females, or sale females.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Each animal is to be sold to the highest bidder.
2. Terms of the sale are cash or check. All lots are to be paid in full at the conclusion of the sale. Absentee buyers are to pay within 2 weeks of the sale.
3. Each animal will be at purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. We encourage cattle to be picked up sale day. All females are able to stay one week free of charge. If heifers stay longer than a week, a $5/ head/day fee will incur.
4. Registration certificates: The animals will be transferred to the buyer at the seller’s expense. Cattle will not be transferred until paid in full.
5. Breeding guarantee: Animals sold in this sale are guaranteed by the owners to be breeders, provided they are properly handled and cared for by the purchaser. If any open heifers fail to breed, the seller must be notified by September 1, 2023. Otherwise, the animal is no longer guaranteed in any way. If the animal is in sound, healthy condition, the buyer may return it to the seller who shall have six months to test it and then, if the animal proves to be a non-breeder, a satisfactory exchange will be made or purchase price refunded.
6. All bred heifers are considered to be breeders with no further guarantee in this regard.
7. All persons who attend the sale do so at their own risk. Owners assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for accidents or loss of property that may occur.
8. All announcements made sale day take precedence over the printed catalog.

The sale offering will sell in a bid-off format. If interested in a lot(s), sign up to receive your bidder card. Bid-off will begin at 4:00 pm CST. Each lot will open with the base price that is listed in the catalog. Simply raise your bidder card to bid. Please keep your card in the air for as long as you wish to stay in on the lot. We will raise the bid in $100 increments until there is only one bidder card remaining in the air. All lots are to be paid in full at the conclusion of the sale.

DELIVERY
Free delivery on all heifers within a 50-mile radius of the sale. All further distances of over 50 miles will still receive the first 50 miles free, but will incur delivery rates of $1/mile. Please ask us with any questions, we will assist with deliveries in any way we can.
