So often as a farmer I start my chats with what is usually a gloomy weather report, fortunately this year you have a happy farmer! Although the start of the year was dreadful, we had a fantastic summer which not only brought out the best of the farm but also allowed everyone to enjoy a summer of alfresco food and drink. Summer for TheStore started in Edinburgh in May when we won the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Award for Food & Drink Tourism. This was recognition of the whole team at TheStore. Summer was filled with Shows, Fairs, BBQ’s and our latest addition, the Hog Roaster, our 2014 events calendar is already
filling up so look out for us. Foodie Fridays have continued to go from strength to strength, with a new team in the kitchen and their new ideas bubbling away in the pot! We will be hosting our Open Farm Sunday event in June 2014, look out for more details. What’s on your Christmas dinner menu this year? If you decide to choose turkey or beef, lamb or game we can supply the best there is, and if you are unsure what you require, please ask one of our dedicated Christmas foodies for advice.
