checklist We’ve created a quick checklist to help you prepare for your shoot! Following these guidelines will help us have a successful session together with Baby!
The Day Before: Do not schedule vaccinations or doctor appointements the day before or day of your sessionl If babies are being circumcized please let the studio know when scheduling. They should have at least 3 days to heal!
day of Please feed baby 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. If it takes longer than 30 minutes to get to the studio, try to leave a little earlier and make a pit stop to feed. It is better to stop and feed while on the road and allow baby that last little bit of time to fall asleep while driving. Please do not remove baby from carseat (if your seat is detachable) If baby is sleepy and comfy, the photographer will carefully remove baby to ensure they stay sleepy! When you do your last diaper change before leaeving, leave it a little loose so that baby doesn’t have diaper lines. and PLEASE do not use diaper cream on it! Clothe baby in easy to remove one piece pjs. Please avoid clothing that must be pulled over baby’s head, and avoid socks/booties that will leave marks on baby’s legs
the session Parents should dress in layers (for the heated room) and come ready to be photographed waist up! Avoid busy patterns, logo’d t-shirts and baseball caps. RELAX! Babies reflect your energy, so come prepared to just hang out and enjoy the process! Your only job will be to feed baby as needed.
remember Extra milk / formula, diapers & wipes, basically - your diaper bag! Pacifier! Even if you’re not planning to use a paci during normal day-to-day, it’s SO helpful during photo sessions when we want baby to resume sleep on a beanbag or prop tea/coffee, water and snacks are provided for studio sessions!
