Kate Kelton A stunning classic beauty, she will not only keep you laughing but on the edge of your seat! She had us in stitches as one of the infamous bathroom duo in Harold and Kumar: Go to White Castle, wowed us as Jordan McKee in Syfy Network’s Haven and left us wanting more as Martine Mahler in IFC’s Bullet in the Face. But it was her gracious demeanor, impeccable taste and timeless beauty that solidified Canadian actress, artist and model, Kate Kelton, as our style muse. Her stunning retro look featured in the following pages is a perfect classic beauty against an impeccable luxury setting shot by photographer Efren Beltran. With her raven black hair and captivating smile, it is easy to see why she has Hollywood and the fashion world falling in love with more than just her beauty but her many talents. Born in Bamberg, Germany, Kelton grew up traveling across Europe with her artist mother. At the age of 7, they moved to Canada, where she attended Etobicoke School of the Arts. It was here that she fell in love with the creative arts. “As a Visual Arts major, I made art for four hours every day, not counting homework like the Hundred Hour Sketchbook every term,” she shared in an interview.

Going on to study Film at Ryerson Polytechnic University, she graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts. After taking some university level acting classes during her last year at Ryerson, Kelton caught the acting bug, and soon found herself on her third work visa in Los Angeles. Though she was most notable for appearing as the “Tic Tac girl” in television advertisements for Tic Tac Mints for almost a decade, she had her bigscreen debut during the Toronto International Film Festival in The Republic of Love (2000), which was directed by Deepa Mehta. As an accomplished artist, Kelton’s artwork is exhibited internationally. The Gallery 1988, August 2012‚ Crazy Cult 4 exhibit in New York City in which she participated received rave reviews. “Art is my first love,” Kelton told us. Besides exhibiting her artwork, Kelton is also a published author. Making It in High Heels: Inspiring Stories by Women for Women of All Ages (2009) is a compilation of stories from Canadian women sharing how they surmounted life’s obstacles with grace.

Emmy nominee Lexi Ainsworth was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to a dentist father and a school teacher mother. Lexi began dancing on stage by age 6 with the local ballet company. This lead to her appearance in the professional theater production of The Wizard of Oz where she performed as a Lullabye League munchkin. After other musical theater performances she won the lead role of Scout in the Actors Equity production of To Kill a Mockingbird. But it was after attending a film camp in New York that she developed an interest in film and television acting. Furthering this pursuit, she attended an acting boot camp in Los Angeles where she caught the attention of an agency who sent her out on her first national commercial audition which she subsequently shot for Barbie. Her first recurring role was Tille on WB’s Gilmore girls. Lexi was nominated for an Emmy for her portrayal of fan favorite “Kristina”, on General Hospital. Her character arc included a very controversial teen abuse storyline that was the first of its kind in the shows history. Lexi recently starred opposite Vivica A. Fox and Eric Roberts in the holiday film, So This Is Christmas. She recently wrapped filming Westside, which is being directed by the one and only McG, where she scored the highly coveted role of “Nico Carver”.

Gabrielle Wortman is an alternative rock musician from the United States and lead singer of the electronic band, TEMP3ST. An American indie electronic rock band, hailing from Los Angeles. In 2013, Gabrielle Wortman and Jason Rosen, former keyboardist of Honor Society (band), formed the alt-folk project, Smoke Season. Gabrielle is most noted for her unique songwriting style and original singing voice, and has been described as falling “under the electro umbrella. Wortman abandons the sugar tart vocals of Melody’s Echo Chamber or Chromatics for the swagger of Chaka Khan and the mournful R&B bravado of Adele.” Wortman has become a key figure in the renowned Silverlake, Los Angeles music scene. Wortman moved to Los Angeles in 2007 to attend the University of California Los Angeles for a degree in Music Media and Management, where she was an honors student. While at UCLA her first album went on to receive a 2009 nomination for the Los Angeles Music Awards’ AAA Album of the Year category. Gabrielle Wortman has been most noted by critics for her moody, dark, and soulful style. She has been praised for uniquely combining a distinct southern soul and an urban vibe. In 2011, Gabrielle and her touring band performed at Seattle Pridefest, the United States’ largest free gay rights festival. Gabrielle Wortman was named 2012 Sundance Film Festival’s “Next Big Thing” on Park City TV, a title previously held by The Civil Wars, among others.
