WHO ARE WE?
The Sustainability Academy
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals were adopted in 2015 at the UN General Assembly, but with less than 8 years left to achieve the goals, there is still much to be done.
The Sustainability Academy was formed in 2020 with the intention of taking the message of the SDGs to educate and engage as many people as possible on what they mean and what actions people can take to achieve them. The SDGs need to be achieved by 2030 which means we need to act now to be successful in realising that ambition and we also need to engage the next generation too. That's why we've created the KidsSDGs programme to inspire this next generation to carry the sustainability torch and create a fairer, more prosperous planet for all its inhabitants. OUR MISSION Our mission is clear; to educate the way to a sustainable future. Our aim is to engage and educate as many people as possible on the SDGs in order to equip them with the ability to make sustainable choices in their lives. Only by everybody working together towards a common cause can we create a better, greener and more prosperous future for all inhabitants of the planet. We provide training programmes and development opportunities to give people the tools required to play their part in achieving the SDGs by 2030. Our KidsSDGs programme engages the next generation of leaders to ensure the vision of a sustainable future for the planet is one that becomes a reality.
A sustainable future for all requires education and engagement today

UNITED NATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS There are 17 SDGs and 169 targets in total.
The 17 SDGs are all interrelated and provide a framework to tackle poverty and inequality and address humanity's greatest challenge, climate change.
SDG 4 QUALITY EDUCATION Ensuring inclusive and equitable access to quality education will provide the next generation with the tools they will need as the future workforce and enable them to create a more sustainable future for our planet
SDG 5 GENDER EQUALITY Creating a future where people are treated equally regardless of gender and ensuring women's equal participation is vital for a sustainable future for us all
SDG 13 CLIMATE ACTION If we are to address humanity's greatest challenge, we need to engage as many people as possible to combat climate change. This means extending sustainability practices throughout the whole of an organisation and empowering all colleagues to be able to make a change.

DK
DK represents what could happen to the planet if we do not make the changes necessary. DK is tired, overheated and sad due to the lack of change made
Mr Stroodles Mr Stroodles demonstrates the actionable solutions that individuals can take to live more sustainably. With eco innovations like pasta straws and edible cups, spoons and plates, Mr Stroodles helps to show how the Global Goals can be implemented in everyday life

PRICING We've priced our programme very competitively, which will enable us to reach as many young people as possible in order to make the biggest impact we can. KidsSDGs runs as an enrichment programme alongside the curriculum throughout the academic year and is priced at £50 per student. We are able to offer a discounted rate for higher volumes of students and also have a limited amount of funding available for schools who are unable to financially access the resources needed to implement the programme. THE WORLD OF WORK Prepare the next generation of decision makers for the world of work Acting now is vital to create a sustainable future for our planet and we must continue to educate young people so that we do not make the mistakes of the past. Companies have to act now to minimise the impact they are having on the environment and will need to continue to operate in a more sustainable way. Through our SDGs for Organisations programme we have already worked with organisations including Thames Water and Peel Land & Property to educate their workforce in the SDGs and ensure all colleagues are focussed on implementing their sustainability agenda. As the next generation move into the world of work, already having the knowledge to act sustainably will give them an advantage as companies seek to build a workforce that is equipped to face the challenges of the future.
