Happy 4th of July!

Before you light up the night on July 4th, be aware that while fireworks may be legal to purchase in the state of Georgia they are not allowed to be used in any common areas within Windermere.

PLEASE REVIEW THESE LAWS AND BE COURTEOUS TO YOUR NEIGHBORS!

• Fireworks cannot be used after 9:00PM throughout the year;

• July 4th, fireworks may be used until midnight;

• Fireworks may not be used at a park, or within 100 yards of a nursing home, hospital, electric plant, water plant, or gas station);

• Igniters must be at least 18 years old and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol;

• Authorities recommend leaving the fireworks to professionals who are accustomed to potential hazards.

GEORGIA HAS SOME PLACES WHERE FIREWORKS ARE BANNED. DO NOT

BE MINDFUL OF NEIGHBORS who have SMALL KIDS and others who go to bed early for work or school.

MANY ANIMALS ARE AFFECTED by fireworks as well.

PLEASE BE A COURTEOUS NEIGHBOR!

ON ROADS AND HIGHWAYS.

It is also illegal to light fireworks within 100 yards of Hospitals, Nursing homes, Prisons, Nuclear power plants, Gas stations or refinerys.
