WHAT STRATEGIES ARE YOU USING TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS?
Word of mouth is a critical part of my marketing; it is the best strategy in any business. I am a client-oriented person, and for me, my client’s best interests are my top priority. My past clients are the ones who keep sending me referrals. They would only recommend me to their friends if I did my job and acted in their best interest.
AS A REALTOR, IS THERE SOMEONE IN THE INDUSTRY WHO INSPIRES YOU?
All of the top producers are my inspiration. I look up to them, and it makes me feel more confident that if they can do it, I can too. Their success inspires me.
HOW HAS YOUR LIFE BEEN AS A REALTOR?
Busy, but I love it. There is a lot of effort and hard work behind my success. Nothing has come my way easily, but that’s life. To be successful, you have to be committed and give 100% and nothing less if you are serious.
THERE ARE SO MANY REALTORS IN THE LOWER MAINLAND, WHY SHOULD SOMEONE PREFER YOU?
Honesty, Integrity, and Commitment. The e three words are the core principles by which I run my business. To me, it’s not about a deal with my client; it’s about building a strong and trusting relationship with that person. I have sold more than 150 homes so far, and I can put this on record: not even a single client of mine (past or present) can say that they didn’t have a pleasant experience working with me.
WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON CONCERNS OF A CLIENT?
Honesty and Communication. Unfortunately, in our business, communication with clients is a big problem; they often feel that they are left out of the loop. Clients in this business want better service standards. I guarantee my clients that if I don’t return their call in 24 hours; I will pay them $500 cash. That’s how much confidence I have that no matter how busy I am, I can always take the time and return their calls.
WHAT ARE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS AS A REALTOR UP UNTIL NOW?
I would not have achieved anything if it were not for my clients putting their trust in me and allowing me to earn their business. I have received several awards including: the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award, the Diamond Award at RE/MAX Blueprint Realty, and the Chairman’s Club Award from RE/MAX. I also ranked as one of the Top 100 Realtors in all of RE/ MAX Western Canada and am a proud member of the Medallion Club-2019.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS AND TEN YEARS?
I don’t plan that far ahead. I set my goals for every year and try to do better than where I was in my previous year — one thing at a time.
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT FROM THIS CAREER?
Real estate is a very time demanding and stressful business, but it allows you to be a part of such a big decision that affects someone’s happiness. I love the feeling at the time of Possession when I see the smile on my clients face.
IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BE IN THE SAME PROFESSION, WHAT WOULD BE YOUR ADVICE TO HIM/HER?
This is the best business that you can be in. It rewards your hard work. To achieve success, you have to be focused and determined. At the beginning of your career, you may be faced with a lot of challenges, and things might not go your way. If you have the attitude of never give up, you will come out with flying colors.
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THE CONDITION OF THE REAL ESTATE MARKET IN THE LOWER MAINLAND, AND WHAT WILL BE ITS FUTURE?
In my opinion, real estate is not a short-term investment. If you have a plan or could hold a property for five years, it doesn’t matter what price you bought it for, it’s always going to sell for higher than that. There is a saying, “The Best time to buy Real Estate was always five years ago,” which means you won’t get the same price. As far as the future of real estate in the Lower Mainland is concerned, it’s quite bright. Look at the population, how rapidly it’s growing, we are less on the Inventory so the prices are going to go up; it won’t go as fast as it did in 2016, but it will go up. Now is the best time to buy real estate as we are currently in Buyer’s market and you can get great deals on some of the properties. I always say that if you are a smart investor, buy real estate when no one is buying, that’s when you make money.
