JAS OBEROI stepped into the real-estate industry in 2016. As a new immigrant from India, Jas has worked very hard to make his mark in his newly adopted homeland. He came to Canada in 2009 and started working in an Indian restaurant as a server. Being a hardworking individual, Jas opened his own restaurant in Surrey in 2013. Getting into real estate was natural for Jas because his family back in India is in the real estate industry and he too was inclined towards it. Once he had established his restaurant, he decided to venture into the real estate industry here in Canada. Jas says, “Back in India, my family used to do a lot of real estate investing and private lending, so real estate was not new to me.
