About the Program “Her coat falls open. She only has her bra on underneath. She pulls out the little sculpture of the woman with no arms. It sits on her lap. Two women. One real. One not. Both with their innate femininity out.”
Since its premiere in 2016, Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s critically acclaimed, utterly unique television series Fleabag has taken the world by storm with its piercing dialogue, ruthlessly dry wit, and deeply human drama. Declared as “one of the most interesting creative forces to watch” by The Atlantic, writer, director, and producer Waller-Bridge proved the one to beat throughout the recent award circuits, garnering 11 nominations at the 2019 Emmys where she won in the Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series categories. Having earned countless words of praise, accolades, and admiration, not just for Fleabag but for her other series Killing Eve as well, Waller-Bridge has emerged as an unstoppable, magnetic, and groundbreaking force to be reckoned with. In FLEABAG: THE SCRIPTURES, Waller-Bridge brings together for the first time the complete filming scripts of the first and second seasons, annotated with never-before-seen stage directions and exclusive commentary on her creative process and the making of the series. Now recognized as one of today’s most essential voices, she delivers powerful insights into her now-iconic protagonist: the hilarious, emotionally damaged, sexually unapologetic woman who can make viewers laugh, cry, and cringe in a single scene. Essential for any fan, FLEABAG: THE SCRIPTURES is the ultimate companion to a landmark series.

TOUR THE HISTORIC TOWN HALL Town Hall has played an integral part in the electrifying cultural fabric of New York City for more than 90 years. A group of Suffragists’ fight for the 19th Amendment led them to build a meeting space to educate people on the important issues of the day. During its construction, the 19th Amendment was passed, and on January 12, 1921 The Town Hall opened its doors and took on a double meaning: as a symbol of the victory sought by its founders, and as a spark for a new, more optimistic climate. In 1921, German composer Richard Strauss performed a series of concerts that cemented the Hall’s reputation as an ideal venue for musical performances. Since, Town Hall has been home to countless musical milestones: The US debuts of Strauss, and Isaac Stern; Marian Anderson’s first New York recital; in 1945, Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker introduced bebop to the world; Bob Dylan’s first major concert in ‘63; and much much more.
