Arabella Golf Club Framed by the Houwhoek Mountains and the Bot River Lagoon, the golf course at the Arabella Country estate - considered the best in the Western Cape - is certainly one of the most scenic. From the moment you arrive and drive past the first fynbos-fringed fairways on the way to the clubhouse, you realise that this course is special, blending in with rather than dominating the landscape. It’s an impression that is confirmed when you look out from the clubhouse over the ninth and 18th greens, situated on the edge of the Bot River Lagoon.

Situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands region, between Paarl and Franschhoek, Pearl Valley is one of the more visually appealing golf courses in South Africa, and meets Jack Nicklaus’s high standards for aesthetic beauty and golf course design. The Paarl Mountain Range and the Berg River surrounding the golf estate make a spectacular backdrop for a game of golf.

Links Golf Course at Fancourt Designed by Gary Player, the Links Golf Course at Fancourt opened in 2000, and is a man-made links golf course. The Links is a championship course, and in true ‘links’ tradition is a very challenging and demanding golf course to play. It is possibly the most difficult course in South Africa.

Montagu Golf Course at Fancourt Situated at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains in George, in the heart of South Africa’s world renowned Garden Route, the Fancourt Montagu golf course is considered to be one of the best conditioned golf courses in South Africa. This parkland layout has been ranked as South Africa’s top golf course a few times, and the golf course is in a spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains and water, with plenty of wildlife around to distract any golfer from the challenge of playing this cleverly designed golf course.

Outeniqua Golf Course at Fancourt Designed by Gary Player, the Outeniqua is one of two world class parkland golf courses at Fancourt. The elements, predominantly the wind, play a role in the defenses of the course, the course being a coastal golf course

Simola Golf Estate A Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, offers challenging and rewarding golf amidst spectacular scenery. Set below the high ridges, it’s free from the wind that so often plagues coastal courses. Fairways flow with the natural undulating contours of the terrain and the unusual configuration of five par 5's and five par 3's adds a new dimension to the game.

Pinnacle Point Golf Club Opened in 2006, the Pinnacle Point Golf Course was co-designed by renowned golf course designer Peter Matkovich and professional golfer Darren Clarke. Pinnacle Point was rated as one of the 10 best new courses in the world by American Travel & Leisure Golf magazine, and the golf course is sited along four kilometres of spectacular coastline with several dramatic cliff-side holes. Peter Matkovich has designed many of South Africa’s top golf courses, but described Pinnacle Point as “the most dramatic golf course site I’ve ever encountered anywhere in the world”.

St Francis Links Opened in 2006, St Francis Links was designed by Jack Nicklaus, and is a traditional links golf course that overlooks St Francis Bay. As the second natural links golf course built in South Africa, the St Francis Links golf course is laid out amongst the dunes above St Francis Bay, and several holes meander around a wetland area. This course has a true links look and feel to it - the bunkers look as though they have been simply plowed out of the land, and the shape of the greens comes from the natural movement of the land.
