Golf Clubs & Course Overview The Lakes Golf Club (Australian Ranking 12) The Lakes has long been a major tournament venue having hosted many events including the Australian Open, Australian PGA, Ampol Tournament, Chrysler Classic, Wills Masters, Johnnie Walker Classic, Greg Norman Holden International and the ANZ Championship. The course continues to maintain its reputation as a great challenge to any golfer. The golf course is renowned for its presentation and is generally regarded as one of the best wet weather courses in the region. The final nine holes border the Botany Aquifer and wetlands area, challenging the golfer with a number of water carries to complete their round.

New South Wales Golf Club (Australian Ranking 5) "La Perouse", as the course is often known, is set amongst scrub covered sand hills and valleys that slope down to the Pacific Ocean. This inspiring layout is bounded by water on three sides and has many of the characteristics of true links golf. Occasionally benign and at the mercy of the "young guns", this sleeping giant, with its undulating fairways and small greens, calls for great skill in shot making when the sea breezes blow. It has been written that golf had its origins on unique seascapes similar to this one, where the wind is a dominating factor and the direction from which it blows making any of the eighteen holes comparatively easy or extremely difficult.

Royal Melbourne Golf Club (Australian Ranking 1 West course and 8 East course) Royal Melbourne's two courses, the East Course and the West Course, are each ranked amongst the best in the world. Royal Melbourne has hosted numerous national and international events, most famously the 1959 Canada Cup, and the 1970 World Cup. It was selected by the PGA Tour to hold the Presidents Cup for the first time outside the United States in December 1998, and then again in 2011.

Golf Clubs & Course Overview Kingston Heath Golf Club (Australian Ranking 2) Kingston Heath Golf Club is one of the world's leading golf clubs. The 18 holes were built on only 50 hectares, but the course is perfectly manicured and its bunkering and clever use of dips and hollows visually fool the non observant golfer. If you deviate from the fairway, the rough (comprising long grass, ti- tree and sandy scrapes) will test your ability to get the ball back into play.

The Victoria Golf Club (Australian Ranking 9) The Victoria Golf Club is acclaimed by golfers the world over for its fine hospitality and superb world championship course. Situated in the heart of Melbourne's rolling sandbelt country, it offers a sporting experience on par with the worlds best. The beautifully landscaped par 72 course is designed to challenge both the amateur and professional golfer.

Barnbougle Dunes (Australian Ranking 4) Golf at Barnbougle Dunes is an unforgettable outdoors experience. The crashing surf of Bass Strait is visible from most holes, and audible from all. Few golf courses can boast such a variety of surrounding water bodies. Barnbougle Dunes is flanked by Bass Strait, the Trent tidal estuary, freshwater tea-tree wetlands, and the Forester River, having meandered its way down from the distant peaks of Mt Maurice.

Barnbougle Lost Farm (Australian Ranking 6) The Lost Farm commences on some level terrain and heads to the coast, so the first couple of holes build the anticipation as the dunes loom ahead. By the time you reach the 3 rd hole, the assault commences. It is a short par-4 with a small, tiered green sheltered in a dune. It appears innocuous from the tee, but the challenge is all at the green. This hole is a dramatic introduction to a stretch of holes played in and through some remarkable dunes in the links land.

Non-Golfer Activity Overview Great Ocean Road Tour The Great Ocean Road winds through varying terrain as it hugs the coastline of South West Victoria, spanning 243kms. Let someone else do the driving as you focus on the breathtaking scenery at this most popular tourist destination. Our Great Ocean Road Tours include stops at beautiful untouched beaches, lush ancient rainforests, rugged limestone cliffs and quaint seaside towns.

Yarra Valley Wine & Healesville Sanctuary Tour The scenic Yarra Valley is renowned for being one of Australia’s best wine regions. Enjoy sampling the varieties of wines and local produce on offer. Healesville Sanctuary is one of Australia’s most loved tourist attractions and the best place in Victoria to see and interact with native Australian wildlife. The Sanctuary is committed to fighting wildlife extinction and offers visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal to unique Australian animals in a stunning bushland setting.

Phillip Island & Penguin parade … so completely Australian – and unique in the world. Every evening at dusk the Little Penguins come home from the sea at Phillip Island. From the waves - across the beach - to the sand dunes - the Little Penguins can almost be touched as they waddle to their burrows. Sunset at Summerland Beach has drawn millions of visitors to Phillip Island. It is the nightly ritual of these little flightless birds which will enthral you as you observe from the beach and the elevated boardwalk.
