Outpatient Speech-Language and Occupational Therapy Departments

The Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Departments held a successful in-person summer camp program from June–August 2022.

The Outpatient Occupational Therapy Department began a collaboration with Howard County Head Start to provide OT consultations, screenings and direct services in four of their centers.

The Family Hearing Center

The Family Hearing Center staff have been busy providing comprehensive hearing evaluations and hearing aid fittings to our community.

Over the past year, we have added new Managed Care groups to our referrals allowing us to fit patients who have hearing aid benefits through their insurance plans.

Speech-Language Pathologists presented a workshop for parents on literacy and language skills at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School.

Speech-Language Pathologists attended the Step Up for Down Syndrome Walk

The Speech-Language Pathology Department received a generous donation from the 100 Women Who Care in Lower Montgomery County, and were able to purchase several new AAC Devices.

Our Audiology office at Asbury Village in Gaithersburg has been seeing patients every Thursday for several years, and recently a Wednesday clinic was added due to the increase in residents who are in need of hearing healthcare.
