Funeral Service for Barry Richard Johnson, 48

of the Eastern Road, Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas, who passed away at his home on Sunday, 30th July, 2023, will be held at Woodlawn Gardens, Soldier Road, New Providence, on Saturday, 5th August, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

The Very Rev’d. Harry Bain, Dean of Nassau, Rector of Christ Church Cathedral will officiate.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Rose Harris, née Feniak, and his parents, Mr. Rolfe J. Harris and Mrs. Ethel B. Harris.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura D. Harris; his sisters, Janet Harker (Bob) Padman and Betty (Jack, deceased) Sands; his nieces, Karen (Rob) Byko, Debbie (John, deceased) McDonald and Nancy (Paul) Cartwright; nephew, Timothy (Fiona) Harker and family and niece, Anthea Murray and family; his great nephews, Jack Cartwright and Jonathan McDonald, and his great niece, Isabella Cartwright.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army, P. O. Box N.205, Nassau, or by direct deposit to Salvation Army RBC Palmdale Branch, Account No. 05745-1575067 in memory of Mr. Rolfe Stanley Harris.

of Miami Street off Robinson Road, will be held at Salvation Army Grants Town Church, Meadow & West Street on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Major Marc Eddy Momplaisir, assisted by Other Ministers of The Gospel. Interment will be in Old Trail Cemetery, Old Trail Road.

Barry was predeceased by his Father: Robert Samuel Johnson Sr.; Brother: Robert Samuel Johnson II; Sister: Barbara Destiny Johnson; Grandmother: Anita Stubbs, Lela Munroe.

Left to cherish precious memories is his loving Mother: Martha Johnson; Brothers: Milton Hanna, Howard, Anthony J. and Brian L. Johnson; Nieces: Rocshelle and Rachel Johnson and many others; Nephews: Alex, Robert S. Johnson III and many others; Cousins: Marvin and Erin Munroe, Keith Duncombe, Johnny Munroe; Other Relatives and Friends including Meco, Steve, Willy and many others too numerous to mention.

Relatives and friends may pay their last respects in the “Mother Rovina Suite” at Cornish Memorial Mortuary located #41 Tonique Williams-Darling Highway on Friday, August 4th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and again on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
