The number of well-known global organizations like IBM, GM, and Mondēlez international have shown an upward trend in the selection of female CEOs. In fact, today there are more women than there have ever been in the history of the Fortune 500, all time.
However, Year 2020 saw the beginning of a global health crisis with the potential to roll back hard-won gains for women around the world. OvertheyearsRitubattledgender barriersinwhataccordingtoherisstill amale-dominatedworld.Anincident shenarratedwhereshewasonce lockedinacellwithherclientwho wasarapist.Uponnishingher consultation,theofcersdelayed openingthecelldoorandleftherthere foraprolongedtime.Whennally releasedshecomplainedtothe CustodySergeantatWatfordPolice stationwhorespondedsayingthat,
"Womenshouldneverbecriminal lawyers.Youareanoccupational hazard!"Itookthematterfurtherand inuencedthechangewherebysecure meetingroomswereprovidedto solicitorsforconsultationswiththeir clientsandtheynolongerhadtobe lockedinthecellswiththem.
