GO THE CLASSROOM THE 100% ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM 100% Engagement is our signature student experience that gives you the opportunity to align your studies with your interests and gain valuable skills to address important challenges outside of the classroom. >> go.arizona.edu/engagement

EXPERIENCES AS UNIQUE AS YOU ARE Every engagement experience is as unique as you are. For example, you may choose to intern with a Fortune 500 company, volunteer to study poverty within the community, participate in an archaeological dig in Egypt or conduct Alzheimer’s research alongside leading scientists. For every Engaged Learning Experience you complete, you’ll earn an official notation on your academic transcript — a formal recognition of all your hard work to go above and beyond to gain expertise in your field.

SPREAD YOUR WINGS In partnership with the Tucson Audubon Society, ecology and evolutionary biology students practice netting and banding Mexican Bluebirds. Their research will reveal insights into human impact on bird populations and their environments, and how to enhance wildlife conservation efforts in Southern Arizona.

GET YOUR FEET WET With the scenery of Sonoita Creek as their backdrop, hydrology students gain field work experience by collecting and analyzing flood data. Learning about our natural resources prepares students to tackle the important issue of water scarcity in Arizona and arid regions around the world.

CONNECT TO CULTURE The Spiritual Ecology and Buddhism Program takes students to the Kingdom of Bhutan in the heart of the Himalayas. Students travel through winding roads amid majestic temples and examine Bhutanese culture in this sacred landscape. As one of many study abroad programs at the UA, this life-changing journey empowers students to explore the world with confidence.

GO EXPECTATIONS THE 100% ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM Leverage the experience and transcript notation you receive by participating in 100% Engagement to stand out from the pack after graduation. ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC OFFERINGS Beyond our 100+ majors, we have even more academic offerings in the form of minors, double majors, double degrees and dual degrees. A minor is a secondary field of study to your major. It may complement your major, or it may be in a completely different academic field that you find personally interesting. A double major means you complete the academic requirements for two different undergraduate degree programs. Students can double major in fields that offer the same degree type (BA, BS, BFA, BSB). If you want to double major but the academic fields offer different degree types (BA, BS, BFA, BSB), you can earn a double degree. A dual degree results in two degrees — typically a bachelor’s and a master’s. A dual degree typically shortens your time of study by one year, which is why they are also known as 3+2 programs. Some of the most popular programs include MBA, law and pharmacy.
