WELCOME The University of Winchester is the perfect location to say ‘I Do’ Our couples are at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on making each and every wedding day memorable for all the right reasons. From the initial show round to your first dance, you will have a dedicated wedding coordinator to guide you through the planning process to make this as simple as possible. We also want to ensure that you and your guests have our undivided attention and for this reason, we only allow one wedding booking per day. From 2019 onwards, we have one main wedding venue, the Dining Hall. Previously, we also offered a more traditional venue on our West Downs Campus. However this is undergoing a large scale refurbishment project which will see it out of action for the foreseeable future.

CATERING Your big day is not complete without the finest food and beverages. Our in-house catering team offer a wide range of award-winning menus for you to choose from. Our catering team champions organic, free range, local and ethically sourced ingredients for our menus. We also pride ourselves on offering something for everyone and have lots of options for those who require specialist meals. Our team can also provide a bar in the Dining Hall that provides a good range of bottled beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Please note that draught beers are not available. If you have a specific drink in mind, we can also order this in to make your day just how you imagined it.
VAULT VENUE If you would like a change in venue for your evening reception, the Vault Venue is our award-winning Student Union entertainment venue. This venue is located on the ground floor of the same building as our main Dining Room. With two bars, state of the art lighting and sound system and a stage for a DJ or band, the Vault is a fantastic setting to dance the night away as a newly married couple.
THE CITY OF WINCHESTER The University of Winchester is ideally located just a 10-minute walk from the centre of the historic and beautiful City of Winchester. This City has lots of scenic countryside trails, historic attractions and architecture, and un-rivalled shopping. As the original capital of the UK, it has plenty to do and see making it the perfect City to get married in.
