Meet our speakers DR NICOLA MILLARD Principal Innovation Partner, BT From Automation to Zedonks: trends shaping the future of work The future world of work was already being redefined by digital technologies before the pandemic hit. Now, as old and new ways of working collide, we have a unique opportunity to rethink things to make work for people, productivity and the planet, whilst harnessing the best of both real and virtual worlds. Once described as ‘human caffeine’ on Twitter, Dr Nicola Millard injects a peoplecentred espresso shot to innovation and future strategy. Half social scientist, half technologist, all academic, she uses techniques from disciplines such as design thinking, psychology, anthropology, computing, and business consulting to generate data, provocations and stories to engage and create conversations from the board room to the front line. No frothy coffee; just solid research.
DAMIAN CORNEAL Technology Consulting and Cloud Transformation Partner, PwC Adapting your business to create opportunities for early talent Disruptive innovations are creating new industries and business models, and destroying old ones. Generative AI, artificial intelligence is now poised to revolutionise how work gets done. As generations collide, workforces become more diverse and people work longer; traditional career models may soon be a thing of the past. So how are these developments going to affect the early years talent your organisation needs? How can you attract, retain and motivate a diverse workforce in this new era? Damian Corneal has spent his entire career championing voices from underrepresented backgrounds. He is passionate about addressing the UK digital skills gap and providing opportunities for those from disadvantaged backgrounds to help fill that gap. Damian is Technology Consulting and Cloud Transformation Partner at PwC and is also the co-founder of iCompassUK.org, an online platform which helps young people learn independent living skills including employability.
