RETURNING TO STUDY
If you are a mature student or have been out of education for a while, you will be invited to a Back to Study Day to help you gain confidence in your academic skills ahead of the start of term. Our Academic Skills Team have lots of resources and offer one-to-one appointments or group sessions to boost your study skills throughout your time with us.
STUDY SPACES
Benefit from our extensive Martial Rose Library on the King Alfred Quarter and our stunning library in our award-winning West Downs Centre which is open 24/7. We have a range of group study areas, individual study pods, social learning spaces and workstations with bookable PCs.
WELLBEING
You’re here to advance your skills and knowledge; we’re here to support you along the way. Our Student Support and Success team is dedicated to supporting your wellbeing, they provide confidential advice and guidance to help with any questions or challenges you may have.

OUR CITY
Winchester is an hour south of London and less than an hour from the coast. The city centre, which is just a 10-15 minute walk from the University, has the perfect mix of rich heritage and vibrant culture. There are plenty of opportunities for part-time work

GETTING AROUND
Winchester has great transport links and you will have access to sustainable travel initiatives and discounts.
We are just a 10-15 minute walk from the city centre so it’s easy to get to your lectures without paying for transport.
There are cycle racks and bike lockers on campus and we offer discounts at local bike stores.
Winchester benefits from an excellent Park and Ride Scheme and we have secured some great deals with local bus companies to ensure you have discounted travel.
The University currently helps students save an average of around 30% on South Western Railway season tickets.
