I am delighted to welcome you to your Experience Winchester Day.
Today is all about giving you the opportunity to get a feel for what it is like to become a student at the University of Winchester. You may well already have visited us – in which case, a warm welcome back.
We are a friendly, welcoming University community. We are driven by a love of learning and a real curiosity and passion for our subjects. We are proud to be one of the Top 25 universities in the UK for graduate success – our transformational education ensures our graduates have the skills they need to meet workforce needs and to live successful and meaningful lives. Above all, we want to help you to become the person that you want to be, studying the subject that you love and preparing for the job that you want to do – whatever that is.
Today gives you the opportunity to ask questions about what it is really like to study at the University. Do make sure that while you are here, you take a tour of our award-winning accommodation and beautiful campus. I hope too that you are able to get out and see the city while you are here. It is a wonderful place to live and study.
From all of us at Winchester, may I again say how delighted we are to have you with us today. I do hope that you decide to become part of our University and I look forward to welcoming you back to the University of Winchester soon.
Professor Sarah Greer, Vice-Chancellor
