Making Friends on Every Trip Since 2002

Dear Fellow Traveler, Travel means so many things to so many people. An exciting visit to Broadway, a day cruising the Hudson River, an overnight to see the Newport mansions or a week’s adventure in Nashville to see Music City and the Smoky Mountains. But to our grandmother, the inspiration behind every trip, travel meant learning, exploring and meeting new friends. She always said, “Of course it matters where you go, but what matters most is who you meet along the way.” When we started more than ten years ago, our grandmother picked the name of our company. She said The Upper Class described the place she and her friends had achieved in life, as well as the service they deserve. Every day and on every trip, we work hard to live up to her vision. This catalog is full of more than 75 new and popular trips. To help you plan, see the full calendar of trips on page 4. We can’t wait to host you soon on one of our trips. Warmest regards,

Avenue Q

Tony Award Winner! Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q is the hilarious and heartfelt story of a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York with big dreams and little money. He can only afford to live on Avenue Q but—good news!—his neighbors turn out to be a remarkably funny bunch of characters. Picture a grown-up episode of Sesame Street, with satirical songs and jokes replacing preschool-style banter. The actors remain visible at all times and mimic the action of their puppets, adding yet another level of humor. Avenue Q is fast-moving and laugh-packed, particularly for audiences willing to embrace its rebellious, politically incorrect spirit.

Later it was used as a thriving military arsenal after the Spanish-American War through World War I. Accessible only by boat, you’ll indulge your sense of adventure today with a short boat ride to the island. Upon reaching the island you will be greeted by your tour guide and be given an escorted tour of this rugged little island. Your tour will include a lecture about the island’s history and plenty of opportunities for photographs of the unique scenery. See for yourself why this island will always have its place in history and in legend, and will forever be a jewel in its Hudson Highland setting. Set on the Historic Hudson River, you’ll enjoy a delicious Sunday Brunch at the Torches on the Hudson restaurant where floor to ceiling windows provide spectacular views of the Hudson River. You’ll indulge in a mimosa before you browse the expansive brunch buffet featuring carving, omelet and waffle stations! It is the oldest public gardens in America, opening its doors to visitors in 1870 to view the thousands of beautiful flowers and plants in its famous gardens. You’ll take a special tram tour of the Gardens and a guided tour of the plantation.
