Join our award-winning tour guide, Justin Ferate, as we discover a fascinating array of castles, manor houses, gardens, architectural follies, and castle-like buildings along the majestic Hudson. Even the Royal Families of Europe must have been jealous of Glenview Castle, which was so important; it features its own private railway station. Step through the castle doors and step back in time, as you tour the period rooms that capture what life was like in 1876. Not to be outdone, the Samuel Untermyer Estate is known for its breathtaking water gardens, highlighted with sculptures by noted artists. Untermyer didn’t stop there, borrowing from the highest families of Greece, he recreated a Greek amphitheater, elegant rotunda and mosaic pool overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades. You have to see it to believe it! Lunch will be at Sunset Cove, located on the shores of the Hudson River and overlooking the soaring Palisades Cliffs.
