Band member David Rider said he enjoyed being able to share his music with people during Family Fun Night. “I like just being able to play music to people and see them respond to it,” Rider said. Clay Colley, another band member, said he liked being able to share religion through music, two things he loves. “It’s nice to get people in a nonawkward space and really appreciate God,” Colley said. “It catches them by surprise.” Gary Reel, from Austintown Rotary, praised the scenery provided by the Church. “We’ve got the facility, the shade, the space for the kids — it’s great,” Reel said. Reel said he was glad they were blessed with nice weather for the event, especially because of this overly rainy season. Recently, the church has been adding food to the menu, expanding from hot dogs and potato chips to more as more people join the event each month. “Now we’ve got macaroni salad and cookies, but it’s okay, the kids have a good time,” Reel said. Provided by the church are bounce-a-rounds, toys and games, food, music, and many other forms of entertainment that Neighbors | Amanda Tonoli are fun for everyone.
