Maria F. Pacheco Editor IG: mmffppmm 1 2 thevipervibe@gmail.com The two sisters that everyone fell in love with in the movie Frozen are back and ready for another adventure that leads them far away from their kingdom of Arendelle. After Anna, along with the help of Kristoff and Olaf, helped find Elsa and stop the spell she released which caused an eternal winter, they have run into another mystical force that seems to be calling to Elsa. This then leads them to their search in finding out the origins of Elsa’s powers. Frozen II is considered by most to be a successful movie, receiving 77 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. But it is not as good as the first movie which rated a 90 percent. People loved both the songs and how it really revealed more backstory to the origins of Elsa’s powers and her parents. It had a good combination of romance, heartbreak, action and heartwarming moments.

My favorite part of it was how there was never a dull moment and how it shows the background of their parents as opposed to how in the first movie there was barely any information about them. It also further explained

why Elsa was given the powers that she has, which to me was interesting and answered some questions I had during the first movie. I also really loved how this was not only a movie that would be entertaining for kids but also teenagers and even adults.

Since it’s been six years since the first movie came out, many of its fans have grown up with the characters and have found so much joy in feeling the nostalgia for a return of one of their childhood movies.

“It was really good and I honestly can’t believe that it has been so long since the time that I watched the first one with my family and friends,” senior Elena Fontana said.

Idina Menzel (Elsa) and Kristen Bell (Anna) returned as the voices for the main characters to create the new playlist which lived up to that of the first one with many more girl-empowering and catchy songs that allowed many moments in the movie to be more powerful than ever. Although the songs were really good there wasn’t one stand out song that was as iconic as the “Let It Go” song in the first film.

While it may not have been quite as successful as the first movie, I believe that it really lived up to the hype of the Disney franchise and certainly did not disappoint. Even though, it did not seem like they left the movie open to another sequel, it still did have an epic ending. All in all, fans loved this movie almost as much as its original, bringing us on an emotional rollercoaster that always leads to the happy ending at the end.
