Torrevieja Council is investing an additional e7 million into the port area, bringing the total investment to e21 million. This significant financial commitment is aimed at preparing the area for the highly anticipated opening of a new leisure centre in the upcoming summer.
To ensure that the new leisure centre's opening coincides with a revitalized port area, the council has initiated three key projects:
New Wastewater Pumping Station: This essential infrastructure upgrade is necessary to accommodate the increased water volume generated by the new leisure centre. The project, budgeted at e449,198.61, will involve constructing a new pumping station capable of efficiently handling the additional wastewater load.
Electrical Upgrades: To power the new leisure centre and other facilities in the port area, the council is investing e3,627,872.40 in electrical upgrades.

PORT INVESTMENT
This includes the installation of two new electrical transformers and the modernization of the existing electrical infrastructure. These upgrades will ensure a reliable and efficient power supply for the entire area.
The upgrades will also allow the return of the fairground to the seafront from their current facilities in the Antonio Soria park.
Connecting Walkway: To enhance accessibility and connectivity within the port area, the council is constructing a new elevated walkway. This e2,922,870.31 project will link the Levante dock with the new leisure centre, providing pedestrians with a convenient and scenic route.
These investments are crucial for the revitalization of the port area. By improving infrastructure and creating new amenities, the council aims to attract more visitors, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the overall quality of life for residents and tourists alike. Additionally, these projects will facilitate the return of popular events like the May Fair to the port area, benefiting local businesses and the community.
The magic of Christmas at Zenia Boulevard
Zenia Boulevard is transforming into a winter wonderland this Christmas season. The shopping centre has curated a diverse range of activities for all ages, from festive workshops to heartwarming charity initiatives.

The traditional Father Christmas House will also be open, allowing children to hand in their letters and enjoy faceto-face encounters with the jolly old man.
For entertainment, Zenia Boulevard has organized Nickelodeon Meet & Greets, featuring beloved characters like Paw Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants. Festive performances, including Christmas carols and musical shows, will fill the air with
cheer.
Zenia Boulevard is also committed to giving back to the community.
The Solidarity Train will collect books for a local school, promoting literacy and fostering a sense of community. The Santa's Walk, a charity event organized in collaboration with the Pink Ladies Cancer
Support Group, which took place on Sunday,
raise funds and collect donations for those in need.
The Christmas season at Zenia Boulevard promises to be a memorable experience for everyone. From festive cheer to community engagement, the shopping centre is offering a magical holiday experience.

Everlasting Night
By David Whitney
The futility of war
What the hell's it for
When most people
Only want to live in peace
Decisions by the few Who tell men what to do When will the ravages Of conflict cease
Men want to live and thrive
They want to stay alive
They want to see Their sons and daughters grow
Warmongers do not fight They stay safe day and night
Whilst sending men
To die and kill their foe
Cities bombed to bits
Reminiscent of the Blitz
No regard for life
Or what life means
Only tears and pain
As bombs and bullets rain
Their future only bright
Within their dreams
They pray each night for calm
But hear the war alarm
And hope that God Will somehow put things right
But days and months go by The missiles light the sky And daylight fades To everlasting night!

Preparing for Christmas at Ss Peter and Paul, Torrevieja
In the run up to the celebration of the Nativity of the Lord at Christmas, Ss Peter and Paul, Torrevieja is having two special services at Lago Jard’n Church and La Siesta Church.
Father Richard A. Seabrook SSC, the English Priest in Torrevieja, said: “Every year we look forward to celebrate the Nativity of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with our special Masses at our churches but we also prepare with special events which many people enjoy”.
“On Friday 13th December between 1800 and 1900 at Lago Jardin Church, Urb Lago Jardin, Torrevieja there will be an hour of carol singing and readings outside the church. People love traditional carol singing and so it?s great to sing our carols and hear the Christmas story in an informal manner”.
“Wrap up warmly”, said Father Seabrook.
On Thursday 19th December at 1800 at La Siesta Church, Calle Granados, Urb La Siesta in Torrevieja there will be a more formal Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.
“This is the same worldwide famous Nine Lessons and Carols Service that comes from King’s College, Cambridge on Christmas Eve and I’m sure here in Torrevieja we can match the quality if the singing, commented Father Seabrook. We hear in Sacred Scripture the nine lessons which culminate in the Nativity story and sing glorious carols celebrating Christ’s birth. All are welcome”!
The Masses for Christmas will be at 1700 on December 24th at Lago Jard?n; 2330 on December 24th at La Siesta; and 1030 on December 25th at La Siesta.
I would like to wish everyone a Happy, Blessed, and Peaceful Christmas that the joy of the Saviour’s birth may bring hope to our troubled and tormented world, added Father Seabrook.

AFew Good Men !
Many residents of Orihuela Costa are retirees from central Europe, Scandinavia, or Britain, investing their life savings in a house in southern Alicante.
You arrive thinking it is paradise on earth, with a great welfare state, safety, a fabulous climate, unique gastronomy, excellent infrastructure, and many like-minded people with whom to socialise.
You find a lovely apartment in an urbanisation with a pool and gardens or a small house where you quickly make friends.
Initially, everything seems perfect. But soon, reality sets in: dirty streets, overgrown gardens, uncollected rubbish, broken containers, defective street lamps, potholes, dirty beaches, a shortage of medical facilities, nowhere to socialise other than bars, and a lack of security. You start asking questions, visit the town hall, but receive no help. Neighbours tell you this is just how things are. Then you hear about UNIDOS POR LA COSTA, a group of Spanish and foreign neighbours who are also protesting and striving for improvements.
A friend suggests that you register, so you join UNIDOS POR LA COSTA. Occasionally, you receive messages but remain passive, as you continue to enjoy the great weather and your new surrounds.
Meanwhile, as you relax by the side of your pool, your Association is fighting for your rights, which are largely being ignored by the Orihuela Town Hall.
It has approached the Ombudsman, the Mission of which in the Community of Valencia is to ensure compliance with, and respect for, the rights and freedoms of the general public by the local and regional administration. Well, good news. At long last your association has now managed to get the Ombudsman to instruct Orihuela Town Hall to respond truthfully to it’s many questions with verifiable data and detailed commitments.
He has now written to the Orihuela Government, details of which are below:
Complaint 2402567 Presented by ‘Unidos por la Costa’ (United for the Coast) - Resolution of Considerations to the Administration
TO THE ORIHUELA CITY COUNCIL:
We remind you of the legal duty to respond within the legally established time limit, expressly and with reasons, to written submissions from the public, as per article 21 of Law 39/2015.
We recommend issuing a reasoned response to letters submitted by the interested party, addressing each issue raised and notifying them of the resolution.
Administrations must then send a report within a month stating if they accept these considerations and the measures they will adopt. If not accepted, they must justify their response.
UNIDOS POR LA COSTA asks questions on behalf of nearly 1,000 members from 40 nationalities, representing the 30,000 registered residents, plus the many unregistered residents and the thousands of additional visitors to this part of Spain.
We are ashamed of what we see and experience. This situation in Orihuela Costa, the way we are treated by the administration is not normal, and we want all our neighbours to understand.
Spain is a great country. Orihuela Costa is your home. So let's ALLget involved, commit ourselves, defend what is ours, and thereby work together to achieve what is best for everyone.
JOIN UNIDOS POR LA COSTA NOW. It is a non-political organisation, the membership of which is absolutely free. Help us to achieve strength in numbers which will then better enable us to represent the people of Orihuela Costa.

Four Injured in San Isidro Head-On Collision
A head-on collision between two vehicles on the road to San Isidro, heading towards Granja de Rocamora, resulted in four injuries of varying severity on Friday.
Emergency responders, including the Local Police, Civil Guard, a SAMU unit, and to Basic Vital Support units, arrived on the scene to assist the injured involving a 63-year-old man with multiple traumatic injuries and three other men, aged 35 and 20, who sustained bruises.
All four were transported to the Vega Baja Hospital in Orihuela for further treatment.
One individual was trapped inside their vehicle, necessi-
tating a nearly two-hour rescue operation by firefighters. The alert was received at 8:19 a.m. on Friday, with emergency services concluding their response at 9:58.
ORIHUELA AVERAGE FAMILY INCOME
The average Orihuela family earns around €19,651 annually, mainly working in tourism and commerce.
Typically, these families consist of married couples with one or two children.
A recent study by the Department of Family reveals a 16% decline in the birth rate, posing challenges
for the workforce and early childhood education.
The report, "Portrait of the Families of Orihuela 2024," provides insights for policymakers by analysing various socio-demographic factors.
The council emphasizes the importance of families in enhancing community wellbeing.

Keeping you abreast of the fashion world.
You couldn’t make it up; though in hindsight, when the modern moms began dropping off their kids at the school gate whilst dressed in their pajamas, one was entitled to wonder ‘what next’. Anyway, the ‘next’ has come, so leading on from there; do you know what this autumn’s fashionable types are wearing? Of course you don’t … and this is where YCBS comes into the frame.
Bathrobes, that’s what! This is the outdoor attire adopted by a rake of celebrities, influencers, and all the fashion conscious that follow such trends. Isabelle Huppert recently wore a fluffy white bathrobe to an A-list gala event. Angeline Jolie and Rihanna have also been seen out and about in their bathrobe attire.
And it’s not only the sisters that are throwing this bathrobe bravura. The influential men about town are at it as well. Some say that the ‘working from home’ age is partly to blame for the new fangled fashion. Men and women are more comfortable in their own home lounging around in a bathrobe. What happened next is that the business executive got a call to go into the office at short notice – and so he went as he was. The female counterpart promised to meet a colleague for elevenses; and so she too, pops out as she is. Next thing they are all buying designer and more out-door type bathrobes. Should you be in the market for one of these garments, Derek Rose will send it to you for a mere ˇ875. Oh, I almost forgot, delivery is free!
If you intend heading in that direction, the first lesson is that you must never refer to your bathrobe as a dressing-gown. The Gorls need to think like Isabelle, Angeline and Rihanna, whilst the Lads have the perfect role model in Hugh Heffner. Hugheen did his best
work at home and in so doing he made the men’s bathrobe famous.
In an effort to try and find out if the new fashion will take off on Main Street, I decided to do my own little bit of research. Dress has become so casual over the past few years that it is very probable the bathrobe will be adopted by the masses as our everyday attire.
Outside Delvin Cattle Mart I met a big burly farmer from Kilskyre. Victor and I had always been sort of on a nodding acquaintance level, so I reckoned he might be well disposed to being interviewed by me.
He was dressed in wellington boots, baggy trousers, woolen waistcoat, sports jacket and a fawn gabardine overcoat.
Victor was quite approachable when I enquired if he might like to answer a couple of questions for this newspaper. The first thing I noticed when he fixed his quizzical gaze upon me was that his peaky cap was way off line. I decided to get straight to the point, summoning up my most sincere, inviting and earnest reporter tone.
‘Would you consider coming here next week wearing a bathrobe?’ I asked; believing this to be a very reasonable first ceist that would lead to the makings of a great interview. It didn’t go well …
All I heard was the ‘swish’ of an ash plant around my head. The notepad went flying into a puddle of pi… ah you know yourselves; followed by my stars and stripes straw hat, with ‘Howdy’ emblazoned on the front, landing in a splatter of green goo.
When I got the cow dung out of my eyes I could see Victor talking to mart owner, Thomas Potterton, with my interviewee pointing an angry finger in my direction. I left … having come to the sad conclusion that not everybody is in favour of moving with the times …
Fashion is much more than being cutely dressed. Dress codes are driven by culture, events, popular music and celebrity influence. From austere suits of the 1930s depression, to the laid-back leather jacket of the 1950, the bell-bottoms of the 1970s, the shiny opulence of the 1980s – to the bathrobe of today!
Men’s fashion usually resides in the shadow of the ladies; until now, that is, with a his and hers bathrobe!
But back to the bathrobed broads …just think where we have come from. At the beginning of the 20th century, styles were proper and demure. Ladies wore high-necked dresses and hemlines that brushed the floor.
Come the 1920s and with it the Gorls shed their shackles and dressed with abandon to dance the Charleston and the shimmy. Maybe that was the thin end of the wedge and once again we have to ask of the robed rabble … what next …?
DON’T FORGET
The older we get the more of our friends we bury. We don’t ever forget them though. This week our thoughts are with the family of Assumpta - especially because she was such a devotee of this column, and she let everybody know it. Rath De ar a Anam.

FOLLOWING A LIFE-LONG DREAM FOR AGE CONCERN
At 66 years young, Marion Stirling embarked on a lifelong dream: hiking the iconic West Highland Way in Scotland. This gruelling 96mile trek, stretching from Milngavie to Fort William, is a challenge that tests both
physical & mental endurance.
Marion's passion for hiking was ignited during her time as a military wife, where she often found solace in the great outdoors. Now, with more time on her hands, she decided to seize the opportunity to fulfil her bucket list dream.
Marion turned her adventure into a fundraising initiative for Age Concern Costa Blanca Sur, a charity where she volunteers, and With the support of her husband, Sandy, she set out to raise funds by sharing her story. The journey was far from easy. Marion faced numerous challenges, including steep climbs and inclement weather. However, with the support of her sister, Nicole,
and granddaughter, Liz, she persevered. Their encouragement and camaraderie helped her overcome obstacles and keep her spirits high. One unexpected challenge was getting lost on the first day, which added several extra miles to her itinerary. Despite the setback, Marion remained determined to complete the hike and collect stamps for her WHW Passport.
In the end, Marion's hard work and determination paid off. She successfully completed the West Highland Way and raised over 800 euros for Age Concern Costa Blanca Sur. Her story is an inspiration to others, demonstrating that age is no barrier to achieving one's dreams.

NEW DRIVING REGULATIONS FOR 2025
The Direccion General de Trafico (DGT) is implementing three new regulations for driving on dual carriageways and motorways in Spain, effective January 2025. Motorists are urged to acquaint themselves with these changes to avoid fines.
The new rules emphasise staying in the right lane and prohibit overtaking during adverse weather to allow snowploughs to operate in the left-most lane.
Additionally, drivers must understand the emergency corridor rule, which mandates
moving to the side in heavy traffic to create a path for emergency vehicles. This practice is common in many EU countries.
In a notable change, the DGT will permit motorcyclists to use the hard shoulder on dual carriageways and motorways during heavy traffic, at a restricted speed of 30kph.
However, motorcyclists must yield to vehicles using the hard shoulder for breakdowns or already permitted uses, such as bicycles, animal-drawn vehicles, and mopeds.

Ciudadanos Denounces Council for Inflated Expropriation Costs
Ciudadanos spokesman Jose Aix has accused the Orihuela Council of overpaying for the expropriation of a road in Villamartin.
According to Aix, the Council paid two million euros to a construction company for the road linking the Zenia Boulevard shopping centre and the Villamartin urbanisation.
Aix claims the payment could have been reduced to 1.2 million euros, potentially saving the municipality 800,000 euros.
During the last plenary session, Aix questioned Mayor Pepe Vegara, who also serves as the councillor for
Finance, about the new payment to the company linked to the Pedrera family.
Aix said that, during his tenure as councillor for Urban Planning, he had managed to lower the price.
Since the question was not recorded prior to the session, Vegara opted to respond later in writing.
The Council's legal department stated that the amount paid was determined by an independent jury.
The road acquisition was initiated by the PP-Cs government team in the previous legislature, with the Plenary approving a 1.2 million euro investment in September 2022.
Torrevieja's New Flood Park: A Green Solution
Torreta Florida flood park, set to open by year's end, is a testament to sustainable urban development and flood mitigation.
Developed by Agamed, this multi-functional green space features a skate and calisthenics area, serving as a key component of Torrevieja's stormwater management system.
The park's permeable surfaces allow rainwater to infiltrate the ground, reducing runoff and miti-
gating flood risks, while contributing to groundwater recharge.
Landscaping with native plants enhances biodiversity and provides shade, creating a pleasant microclimate. The park is part of Torrevieja's Stormwater Master Plan, which includes a network of flood parks and ponds.
These green spaces work together to manage stormwater effectively, even during extreme weather
Murcia Fishing Industry two-day strike
The fishing sector in Murcia faces a crisis due to new EU restrictions, limiting trawling to 27 days annually, down from 145.
This threatens the industry's viability, leading to fears of bankruptcies, job losses, and business closures.
In protest, the sector plans a two-
day strike on December 9-10, mooring boats, closing markets, and holding a large demonstration in Madrid.
Fishermen argue the restrictions are unjustified and highlight EU hypocrisy in allowing imports of illegally caught fish from Morocco.
events.
Torrevieja's investment in green infrastructure demonstrates a forward-thinking approach to urban planning, creating a more liveable and environmentally friendly environment for residents.
The Torreta Florida flood park exemplifies how innovative design and sustainable practices can transform a city's landscape and improve quality of life.

How to avoid visiting the DGTOffices
Dealing with administration can be a daunting task for many, partly due to the apparent complexity of some of the procedures, and partly due to the inconvenience of having to attend a very busy office, where many more people are trying to achieve their own resolution, but when it comes to traffic and vehicle procedures, there is some good news, because almost all traffic procedures can be carried out remotely.
At this time, 94% of traffic procedures can be carried out without having to go to the provincial and local DGT Traffic Headquarters, either by telephone -060-, Internet - Electronic Headquarters - or in the mobile application - AppmiDGT -. Only the application for permits for dangerous goods and the exchange of permits require in-person attention.
The General Directorate of Traffic works every day to improve the service it provides to citizens.
For this reason, among other measures, it has
continued to expand the procedures related to driving licences or vehicles that can be presented or carried out electronically, without the need to make an appointment or go in person to the provincial and local Traffic headquarters.
At this time, with the exception of the application for permits for dangerous goods and the exchange of permits, all procedures related to the driver's licence of the holder or the vehicle can be carried out comfortably and quickly by telephone (060), through the headquarters electronic from the DGT or the AppmiDGT mobile application and with the same guarantees as if it were done in person.
In addition, there are also other procedures, such as renewing a driving licence or permanently deregistering a vehicle, which can be carried out directly at collaborating entities.
In this line of improvement, the DGT Electronic Headquarters has been renewed and now allows all procedures related to vehicles to be carried out in an even simpler way, explaining the entire process step by
step and also allowing all documentation to be directly attached without even having to do it through registration.
After presenting the documentation, the operator at the DGT Headquarters carries out the procedure and sends the response to the individual.
IN terms of collaborating entities, one of the biggest and most useful is the post office,
Correos. Via Correos you can carry out procedures such as the application for a duplicate driving licence, obtain vehicle reports, notify a vehicle sale or purchase, as well as change of ownership, and of course, the issuing of the Environmental Sticker for your vehicle.
Many of the procedures are available at all post offices, some can only be conducted via networked centres, and the website, correos.es, has more information.
Local Offices are in Alicante, Elche, Murcia and Cartagena
SAN MIGUEL GS AT LO ROMERO (4
DEC)
Everybody who has played at Lo Romero has the proverbial photo of the iconic “Giant Golf Ball” – and this week’s photos are far more festive! A very popular course and you know why once you’ve played it. The weather was grey, and it was chilly, but the mood wasn’t quite as dull.
Lo Romero Golf is a fantastic course, which is well maintained, with extra developments currently being done with the addition of a humungous water feature (also soon to be known as “Lost Ball Zone”). A challenging course for mid to high handicap players, but still quite challenging for the lower handicap with some very speedy greens today. A fairly standard first hole setting out but that S.1 Island Green at the 18 can make or destroy your round!
A full complement of 48 lined up later than we normally would but we all got in as the, somewhat shy, sun today decided to set. Not very many bare arms or legs were on show today (thankfully!).
Some very juicy scores with the top in each category being:
Gold: Gary Kavanagh (39 points)
Silver: Sten Ronsen (40 points) – joint best score of the day.
Bronze: Carmel McCann (40 points) – joint best score of the day.
The “Two” rollover pot was divided between Dave
Blackburn, Richard Whitely, Mick Cook and Martin Clarke. Nearest the Pins this week were Dave Blackburn, Ken Flaherty (greedy boy with two!) and Mick Cook. Dave Rowe was the lucky football card winner.
Next week we are at one of the nicest courses in the area – Las Colinas. Also, another thank you to our kind members
who have continued to donate to A Helping Hand’s Christmas appeal. We have a photo but not quite of all the winners, nevertheless it’s very festive! Pictured left to right: Terry Sharley with his Abacus wine, Mick Cook (NTP & Twos), Carmel McCann (Bronze), Ken Flaherty (2 x NTPs) and Sten Rosen (Silver).
THE LAKES AT LEESBURG in Florida is an over-55 community. It features a 9-hole, par 3 golf course, and every December a Christmas golf cart parade takes place. Decorated with garlands and Christmas lights the carts tour the grounds, cheered on by staff and visitors. The highlight of the 2023 parade was the sight of Santa on his sledge pulled by nine flying pink flamingos wearing antlers, which probably caused the residents to wonder if they'd overdone the fortified wine.
THE 2024 WORLD GOLF AWARDS obviously wanted to get off on the right foot with The Donald. World's Best Golf Hotel was awarded to Trump Turnberry, although it's doubtful if
many people stayed long considering Scotland's soggy summer. Trump International Dubai was awarded the World's best par 3 as well.
Portugal scooped up the prizes including the World's Best Golf Course (Terras da Comporta) the Worlds' Best Golf Destination, and Europe's best new Golf Course (Ombria) Spain missed out this year, not even Best Golf Venue (Portugal again, Quinta do Lago.)
Must try harder.
Dr. FRANK STABLEFORD deserves to be remembered by amateur golfers everywhere.
Dr. Stableford, a surgeon in the Boer war and WWI, afterwards became Captain of Wallasey Golf Club on the Wirral.
SUDUK SUDUK
QUIZ FROM P 14:
He devised a system of points scoring after realizing one day that many players were getting very little fun out of their golf, often tearing up their score cards after a few holes, especially at Wallasey, where strong winds could make play extremely difficult.
Golf handicaps had originally been used for the purpose of wagers but eventually there was a need for a central handicapping authority. In 1881 the use of three rounds and then take the average was adopted. Many clubs played medal competitions, hard for the less formal golfer, or they played against bogey, based on the best average scores over a particular course, which was very individual, with widely differing standards.
Dr. Stableford’s points system was first played in competition at Wallasey on 16th May 1932, and was an instant success. At the time the maximum male handicap was 21, but not liking the idea of anyone receiving 2 strokes at a hole he restricted the allowance to 7/8th of handicap, giving a maximum of 18 shots. Gradually he refined the system to give 4bbb, foursomes and mixed matches.
The great advantage of the Stableford system is that it enables a player to continue after a few bad holes and speeds up play by letting a player pick up when he is out of contention.
Henry Longhurst said: “No single man did more to increase the enjoyment of the more humble golfer.” As a very humble golfer, I second that.

On Wednesday the Rustlers were at Emerald Isle playing the Emperors in the winter league and although both teams played well, the Emperors took all four rinks. But the result perhaps did not do justice for the Rustlers. Friday found the Mustangs playing host to Country Bowls Panthers, with a strong breeze making line and length tricky to find. But we were in good company and enjoyed the bowls, with a few surprises and close rinks. In the end the Mustangs took the rinks by 3 to 2, with the Panthers taking the overall shots by a small margin, hence a drawn match. Val Ryder, Malc Sykes and Diane Yates 18-14. PENALTY SHOOT OUT DECIDER AS THADER PROGRESS IN CUP
As Thader have been eliminated at first time of asking in the La Nosta Copa for the last 2 seasons, it is a pleasant change to report that they are through to the next round. Having said that, it was far from easy, against a local side, one division below them.
Due to a number of unavailability's for key players, manager Raul Mora was forced to introduce a few fringe youth team players. Inside the opening 2 mins, Thader keeper Sergio pulled off a glorious save to prevent the hosts taking the lead. When through on goal, Serhiy forced SF keeper Jesus to earn his keep, bravely saving a point blank drive.
On 10 mins, Thader new boy Precius shot just over, then straight up the other end,
Sergio pulled off another worldly save.
Midway through the half, Fran almost put the visitors ahead, but his shot went narrowly wide of the target.
Precius was in the thick of the action, once
again providing a decent cross, which Robin could not make the contact needed to put Thader ahead.
A combination of fine saves by Sergio from SF front men Victor and then Arimi, plus near misses, resulted in stalemate at half time. Thader introduced 4 established players at half time, then another 3 before the end, in a bid to break the deadlock. But, only 54 seconds into the new half, the hosts had taken
the lead.
A long clearance out of defence fell kindly for the unmarked Bicho, who calmly shot under the diving body of Sergio.
Not to be deterred, the men from neighbouring Rojales were level on 57 mins.
Following a corner, the ball appeared to be cleared to safety, only for Edu to hammer home a magnificent shot on the half volley through a sea of players, from all of 25 yards.
It looked odds on that SF would retake the lead on 76 mins, only for Kevin’s lob over the advancing Sergio, to hit the top of the bar, before bouncing behind for a goal kick.
The game went a bit flat for the remainder of the half, leaving both teams to prepare for a penalty shoot out.
SF scored with their first Penalty, only for Amin to level the scores. Man of the match
Sergio saved from SF’s Valta , before Raul coolly dispatched his spot kick. Both SF and Jordy tucked away penalties no 3, before SF’s Josu shot over the bar.
Pepelu made light work of scoring the goal which put Thader’s name into the hat for the next round.
As Moi Gomez stadium pitch is still undergoing reseeding, Thader’s next match against Paterna on Sun 15 Dec, ko 1130, will be at the adjoining Xavi Simons stadium, Rojales.
