TAKING THE PLUNGE FOR CHARITY
“Do unto others”, is a saying used to describe humane treatment of each other, thus promoting a better life for all, but jumping out of an aircraft at 10,000 feet, just to benefit other people, goes way beyond the scope of normal behaviour and shows
the dedication that some people have to try to help those less fortunate than themselves. That is exactly what happened this weekend, two very brave individuals, John Reynolds, from Entre Naranjos, and Joanne Riley, from San Miguel, plummeted towards the ground, in a death defying drop, that saw them raise thousands towards two very much needed causes, Spanish based
charities representing research and care for those suffering with Alzheimer's and Crohn´s and Colitis. After a short delay because of fog, the exhilaration as the wind swept through their hair, distorting their faces beyond recognition, couldn´t wipe the smiles off their faces as they reached terra firma and proved that they did go well and truly beyond the call of duty, as their Continued on Page 2
