Thank You For Supporting the One-Day Church Thanks to strong support from people like you, there is now room for an additional 300,000 people to worship in Adventist churches around the world and more than 12,000 children now have a place to study. The One-Day program makes it possible to respond quickly to these urgent needs.

The project goals for 2012 include the construction of 1,377 One‑Day Churches and 256 One-Day Schools.

The very first One-Day Church was constructed in Ecuador. Ninety more soon followed. Today, those buildings have become a catalyst of growth for the Adventist Church. Members are finishing the churches beautifully, and the congregations are growing rapidly.

When Maranatha agreed to send another container of One-Day Churches to Ecuador, the word went out to congregations that if they could supply a piece of land, they could get a One-Day Church. The response was rapid and overwhelming. And we’ve just agreed to send an additional container of churches to meet the demand.

Three New Schools in India

Choluteca Campus Inaugurated

Volunteers gathered during the month of November, 2011 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India to help build a new school campus. The buildings went up quickly and will provide a place for 400 children to get a Christian education.

In February, volunteers helped build a new elementary school in the village of Hugelli in Andhra Pradesh.

The students had been attending classes in a rented facility that was dark and run-down. The new campus provides a first-class environment for learning and will allow the school to grow as well.

In February local officials, school leaders and happy parents gathered to celebrate the opening of the new Choluteca Adventist School. This large campus combines 35 One-Day School classrooms with a large Education and Evangelism Center. All together, the new campus will accommodate 1,400 students.

In March, volunteers helped build the first classrooms of a new secondary school campus near Hosur, Tamil Nadu. There are 300 students on the waiting list, anticipating the soon opening of the school.

The new school will replace an old structure that was severely overcrowded and offered no opportunity for growth.

Volunteers Build Schools in Chinandega Ten years ago, volunteers helped build a new school in Chinandega, Nicaragua. That school has grown successfully and now needs more room. This February nearly 70 volunteers from the United States and Canada worked together to build five One-Day School classrooms.

Churches Complete in Botswana

Haiti Schools Progressing

In January, Maranatha crews completed the last of 74 One-Day Church structures in Botswana. The new churches will be finished by the local congregations.

Maranatha crews in Haiti continue to make preparations for 100 new classrooms. Floors are being poured in anticipation of the arrival of the school structures.

Building in Malawi Two One-Day School campuses have been completed in Malawi and two more are in progress.

Classes will start in September at the Manja Campus and the Chileka campus, both located near Blantyre.

A new campus is currently under construction in the northern city of Mzuzu. And soon to follow will be Mantandani, where four classrooms will be built to house an elementary school.

Church construction in Malawi is still on hold as the political

environment continues to negatively affect the availability of fuel. More than 600 churches are complete.
