ORANGE BANK & TRUST COMPANY ‘HELPS BUSINESSES MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS’

O

range Bank & Trust Company is an independent bank that began in Middletown, New York, with the vision of 14 founders more than 125 years ago. It has grown through conservative banking practices, ongoing innovation and an unwavering commitment to its community and business clientele to more than $1 billion in total assets. In recent years, it acquired Hudson Valley Investment Advisors, a wealth-management company and expanded its footprint beyond Orange County into Rockland and Westchester counties, adding to its total of 13 branches. While growing, the bank has continued to focus on providing premier banking services, based on personal relationships for businesses, organizations and individuals. “We strive to be known as the region’s premier financial institution focused on business banking and wealth-management services,” says CEO Michael Gilfeather.

“Businesses play a vital role in our region’s economy. To meet their needs and be client-focused and nimble, our bankers spend less time in their office and more time on the road, getting to know their clients.” At FTG Realty, Frank Battaglia wanted to prove himself in his father’s business when an opportunity came along to add a handful of diverse businesses to their real estate portfolio. Frank chose Orange Bank & Trust as the best to fund the expansion noting “an unbelievable relationship that is nothing but kind and more friends than bankers.” Gilfeather continued, “With over 125 years of experience in the Hudson Valley, we don’t just know their businesses, but the streets and neighborhoods because we live in them.” It’s that local expertise that Gilfeather believes helps businesses make the right decisions. “Our commitment to reinvest customer deposits into the local economy, in the form of loans, is a matter we take great pride in. It also results

in the bank playing an important role in the success of our clients and the communities they, and we, call home.” The bank’s lending department runs a full, in-house loan operations team that is deal-focused and responsive, offering customdesigned commercial and consumer loans that are processed, underwritten and approved in house. A full suite of sophisticated business banking products is available to help companies thrive. Cash management is a comprehensive set of solutions designed to reduce administrative tasks and save time handling inflow, outflow and reporting, so a business can remain focused on its customers. Products include: • Escrow Management • Treasury: 24/7 access to your financial position, activity, management of funds and movement through ACH and wire along with ability to run stock reports or easily customize reports to suit the needs of your company.

These are designed to make banking more convenient and efficient for professionals, allowing them more time to attend to their clients and ultimately afford them a better quality of life. One of the best measures of success for a local bank is customer loyalty. For that, Gilfeather looks to the words of long-standing clients like Todd Lyons of Todd Lyons Paving who says, “Orange Bank and Trust got me to where I am now and they are instrumental to my continued success.”
