BIOGRAPHY Born and raised in Kufstein, Austria, Monika Blunder had an early love for art and film. As a teenager, she would visit her brother in Munich, where he worked as a camera assistant on film sets. The makeup artists working on these films were her first introduction to an industry she was instantly drawn to. Monika followed her passion to Frankfurt, where she began her training in the art of makeup. Upon completion of her courses, Monika began assisting a makeup artist on fashion shoots in Munich. During this time, her brother moved to Los Angeles to continue his career in film, and Monika soon followed in his footsteps. Upon her arrival, Monika began assisting several legendary makeup artists including Kevyn Aucoin and Paul Starr. It was not long before her talent and kind spirit allowed her to secure her own enviable list of clients including Jennifer Lawrence, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Jessica Alba, Amanda Seyfried and Taylor Schilling. Monika has also had the opportunity to develop close working relationships with many of the industry’s top photographers, including Patrick Demarchelier, Sante D’Orazio, Mark Abrahams, Wayne Maser and Norman Jean Roy. Monika has built a career and a life in Los Angeles as lovely as the faces she creates. Her ambition and skill match her sweet aura. Her success and joy in her field lies in her simple, effective approach; she makes every woman look and feel beautiful in their own skin. Monika wanted to share this approach with women all over the world, so she created a YouTube channel to post how-to videos that teach her viewers everything from enhancing their natural beauty, to recreating her top red carpet looks. She has over 92,000 subscribers and that number continues to increase daily. Instagram: @monikablundermakeup Twitter: @monikablunder
