Greyhound Breeding Victoria So far we have had a great response we are getting a lot of emails from breeders , stud masters and owners wanting to join our page and advertise on here There are several new dogs about to Hit the market, Demon Bale who's arguably the best bred dog in the country and Fanta bales litter brother - Brolly Bale who will be very highly sought after one would assume. There's roughly 2,000 members already joined and we are aiming to double that mid this year. We are having the site upgradec so people can click on internal links , watch litters of pups read up on people’s own experiences with whelping etc. Luke Mitchell writes…. Well done Luke, great initiative! We started this Facebook page back in June 2017 after Why not have a look and let us know what you think. searching and only finding pages selling dogs, Editor. greyhound equipment and people avdertising their own businesses So we come up with the idea that people could advertise stud dogs , and their potential broods they have That's when we came up with the name….. GREYHOUND STRAWS & PUP DEALS And we only post these related topics and nothing else.

Talking Breeding NSW Bale (Golden Currency x Luana Bale) who we have already told you this week, is by Grove Whisper* x Red Fire Bale). Had interesting discussion at lunch with a colleague a week or so back, over which sire has had the greater influence on the Australian breeding industry in the last 25 years, Grove Whisper* or Waverley Supreme*. If you have any thoughts we would be happy to share them with out readers. Jayney Bale is from a litter of five named, with three winners and she was the standout with eleven wins and six placings from her 47 starts. Group 1 Race Preview
Up Hill Jill To Start Favourite in the Ladbrokes Paws of Thunder Neil Brown David Geall’s little superstar Up Hill Jill made it seven from eleven at Wentworth Park with an all the way win in her heat of the TAB Paws of Thunder on Saturday night. Beginning as she usually does like a bullet she raced away to win as she liked in the second fastest time of the night 29.74. She will start favourite for next week’s final of the Ladbrokes Paws of Thunder despite drawing the dreaded box five, however she is such a faultless beginner, the box matters little to the Victorian chaser still enjoying a stella period of racing that lasted almost a year. Fastest time of the heat winners went to the John McCarthy trained Queenslander Slick, he won the first heat of the night in extremely impressive fashion recording 29.67. His previous best was a moderate 30.45 so it’s fair to say he’s in career best form making it three wins on the trot after two Albion Park top grade efforts prior to Saturday night Paws win. He hails from the rural suburb of Wivenhoe Pocket in the Somerset Region of Queensland some 70 kilometres from Brisbane, population 498. Adelaide Cup winner Raw Ability won heat three in 29.92 he’s a dog with exceptional speed, and is capable of a performance that would see him right in the firing line with some luck from the box four draw. Leading New South Wales trainer Mark Gatt has two finalists with his super performer Ritza Lenny and former Tasmanian sprinter It’s A Party. Both broke the 30 seconds and have drawn boxes three and eight. Other heat winners included Dual Keroma (30.05), Bogan Doonie (29.89), Trip To Eden (30.13) best known as a former Victorian stayer.

Greyhounds in the home Friends of Greyhound Adoption Program http://www.facebook.com/groups/144096608971567/ Here’s Gus
Finlay Bird, from Brunswick Gus (formerly Chad/Charlie - GAP’s name) found it a bit hot this morning after our walk. He’s a big softie who is slowly getting used to life in Brunswick in spite of the magpies and the pesky bulldogs at the park. Any ideas of how to encourage the hair back on his back legs?
The life of the retired, they are very much like a married couple, she hogs the bed while he steals the pillow. Brett Kennedy

Greyhounds in the home FOSTER A GREYHOUND: There are many greyhounds who need a little more assistance to help them settle into pet life They fall into two categories Greyhounds who are transitioning from the track and need help to pass their GAP assessment OR Those dogs who have been a marginal fail at their GAP assessment These dogs are just gorgeous happy greyhounds, the only difference is that need a little more help to transition into pet life The reality is that without foster carers some of these dogs are at risk If you would like to change the life of beautiful dog contact Rebecca and join her team ____________________________________________

Our weekly selection of greyhounds to follow, based on their breeding and recent performances YOGI MIKADO Black dog, December 2015 Peter Rocket x Flossy. Owner: J&J Syndicate. Trainer: Maria Barber (Hoddles Creek). Nicely bred and shows promise from three wins and three placings in first nine starts. Won three in a row, Warragul 460 metres (26.37), Healesville 350 metres (19.47) and 520 metres Cranbourne (30.97). Then stepped up in class to 515 metres Sandown (SAP) on 14 January when fifth from box three, beaten 7.79 lengths in the race won by Reign Of Omar (29.67). Sure to have benefitted from that run there and I will want to be on him next start.

Black Dog Dec 2011 35kgs That was a big ask to step up to 595 metres at Windy Millar* Sandown and he handled it well so looks likely to improve on that run next time out. (Honcho Classic
